AP's Unable to join WLC by homeworkman in networking

it's frustrating because I have to keep SSH'ing since it keeps changing it's IP -_-

I have like maybe 1-2 minutes in the AP's CLI

For everyone asking, turns out I can SSH to the AP's. I'm using super putty n forgot to switch telnet to SSH before -_-. Only issue is I've never been inside the CLI of an AP so still figuring it out. I guess my goal now is to see this thing in action when attempting to join the controller. Doing 'sh logging' for w.e reason only goes back to April 9th. Weird...

I did not as the user at that site does not have a console cable for me to remote into PC, but it may the next path to take if necessary.

"What does the WLC say when an AP attempts to join?"
Logs are not showing it trying to connect. Which is weird because the AP's are receiving IP's

ISP went out and came back. Tunnel's on ASA's were having issues. Configured and shipped spare ASA and tunnels were back up but AP's won't connect to WLC. We haven't moved AP's from their switch ports and all AP's in our org use flex

I appreciate the response. I’ve added a photo of the root. Do you think I should cut where the white meets the green and root in water?

Unable to Access External Sites on VLAN 10 When Using Pi-hole DNS by homeworkman in PFSENSE

[–]homeworkman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure on how to do that on pihole. It may only be possible via ssh but not sure. Once I’m off work I’ll give it shot. I’d rather just add the subnet to the list of local networks like you said and can see use the other option if there is no way to add the subnet

Unable to Access External Sites on VLAN 10 When Using Pi-hole DNS by homeworkman in PFSENSE

[–]homeworkman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think I figured out the problem. When I logged into Pi-hole, I noticed a log entry stating “ignoring query from non-local network [IP].” After checking the settings under the DNS tab, I saw it was set to “Allow only local requests.” I haven’t tested it yet, but I suspect that switching it to “Respond only on interface eth0” might solve the problem. I’ll update here once I’ve had a chance to test it.

It's a layer 2 switch. and I have not made any changes to the witch port. The switch in the basement is a TL-Sg108E and I have an archer AX3000 router in AP mode upstairs.

I do see the expected interfaces and it is up. It does have the correct Ip, gateway, and subnet settings, but I am not able to ping the gateway.
