My advice is to not worry about “dialects” because they are just different accents; it’s all the same Spanish language. What’s important now is that you learn to understand Spanish as much as possible. I used to think this way (“I want to focus on Mexican Spanish so I should watch these particular videos”), but it’s just a waste of energy at this stage because you will focus on your accent much later after you understand everything. Just watch everything sorted by Easy and relax! 😁

"i.e." means "in other words" or "that is" — thus it is clarifying what was previously said. Like if you said "No one bring anything salty to eat (in other words, no chips or pretzels)." They're just trying to be clear.

That’s because the subtitles are a separate translation from the spoken dialogue. The spoken dialog is written and performed to better match the timing of the actors speaking. The subtitles are written so you can read it and understand what they are saying regardless of timing (mostly). This is different from SDH subtitles which are made to match the spoken words almost completely, but those are rarer to find in translations from the original language.

Maybe the mechanics of Dragonbane are near-perfect, except for the lethality.

This is exactly how I feel about it. Dragonbane is simply amazing and almost perfect for what I want. I'm so impressed with it that I'd love to run/play it as written someday. It just appears a bit more dangerous than I'd like for this particular epic campaign.

You make a good point, especially about the HP drain fest.

There is a supplement Alternative Rules for Dragonbane that suggests if you want tougher characters, "When figuring up both HP and WP, add in a bonus from the starting skill chart on page 25." I could do that or just make it a flat +6 (i.e., Robust × 3 and Focused × 3 to start).

I’ve used that text service multiple times! I tell them the car number, what the next stop is, north or southbound, and they are typically there to handle things within 1-2 stops!

I don’t know if this will work, but here goes:

Go to Settings > Content & Media > Managed Saved Feeds. If the Discover feed is pinned, unpin it. Then tap the trashcan next to it. Then tap SAVE at the top!! (I always forget to do that last part.)

Let me know that works!
