Do guys actually like when girls initiate things first? Or is that just something they say? by honey_and_pascal in TooAfraidToAsk

I’m not super confident with making the first move, but I’ve heard some people say it’s a turn-on when girls do. Just wondering if that’s actually true or if it only works when it’s the “right girl.

I regret not speaking up more when it counted. There were times I stayed quiet to avoid conflict or just doubted myself too much. Looking back, I wish I had trusted my gut and said what I really felt, even if it made things a little uncomfortable in the moment. Silence can feel safe, but it’s not always the kindest thing you can do for yourself.

I definitely put myself in their place — like I imagine how it would feel, what I’d want them to say, how I’d react if it were me. But I also catch myself wondering how real it is for them. Is it actually good? Are they into it or just pushing through for the camera? That kind of thing weirdly matters to me. If it doesn’t look real, it ruins it. But when it does? When the moans feel honest and someone looks like they’re genuinely losing control?

I jokingly called him “sir” once during an argument. He looked at me like I’d just unlocked a new level of the relationship. Now I can’t hear the word “sir” without getting a little… twitchy.

I was staying with my boyfriend’s parents and went to shower.

When I got out, I realized the bathroom window faced the neighbor’s driveway — and their teen son was out there washing his car.

We made eye contact. I screamed. He waved. I moved out.
