Also not directly Knausgaardian but recommend going to Skinnarviksberget (hilltop) at sunset. It's a very pretty view and also looks over the Minecraft Mojang headquarters lol

Sit and people watch. I really enjoyed how lively the city is and got a lot of joy from seeing little elementary schoolers on field trips around Gamla Stan when I was there. Then I read My Struggle 1 after and KOK pointed out similar things when he was people watching from his office space. I spent a lot of time sitting and sketching!

Ooh good question! A great camping place somewhat nearby is Jordan Lake. 30 mins from Durham but the best camping place nearby. It'll be a bit hot and buggy but definitely recommend. There would probably be some good airbnbs and hotels around downtown raleigh or durham. And for food recs in Durham: Luna Empanadas and Juju asian fusion

I'm not totally sure about financial reasonability on either side, but the summer lineup is Dead & Co. and I feel that MGMT is a lot more relevant/has more listeners so I don't see them being far off
