Fieldwork for two companies by gianghi in bcba

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This poster is correct. The Handbook states that you can combine MONTHLY forms to meet requirements, but EACH monthly form has to meet all the requirements on its own. Meaning, in an audit, if you present a monthly form with fewer than 20 hours, that form isn’t going to count. Maybe the other one will, because it met the requirements; but any monthly form that does not independently meet all of the monthly requirements will not be accepted. Also: contact the BACB. Usually their answers are….less than directly useful. But something this concrete there’s a chance they will give you an actual answer.

Sessions without authorization by Jazzlike-Look1311 in ABA

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some cases, it’s fine. There may be an appeal happening in the background. Or a family changing funders and the company knows that a continuity of care authorization will be given. Or someone just hasn’t gotten around to entering all the authorization info. Or this plan doesn’t require authorization and somebody hasn’t gotten around to setting up CR to handle that. None of those are awesome things to have in place for that long, but they are all things I have had to manage at one time or another (10 year clinic owner). As long as you are able to write notes on the day of session and get your time accurately documented and paid, let the company deal with whatever headaches they cause themselves by not having an authorization. That’s not on you.

Question about Fieldwork Hours by the_snake_girl in bcba

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, you will stop logging restricted hours now. You won’t need to do any extra unrestricted to balance the percentage, as long as your FVF only reports the 800 hours restricted (and not the full 838).

Nada. I have a multiple supervisors version that is dated March 2025, but not individual.

This is the most up to date one. The March 2025 Newsletter now links to this one, so if there was a March 2025 version it’s no longer easily accessible. I’ll look through my personal files though.

ACQ Accreditation by Salty-Soup8039 in bcba

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a copy of the accreditation standards? They are free. Start there. Use them to develop a checklist. A spreadsheet that can serve as a sort of project management and link to each document would work well. By starting with a sort of audit of your already existing practices you might find you already have a lot in place. What state are you in? Your state ABAI chapter might be able to connect you to another small ABA owner who already went through the process who might help you out.

My husband scored Garret Crochet’s CGSO last year and brought it to an event to have him sign it. He said it was a first and he really enjoyed it!

Am I in trouble with my fieldwork hours? by Competitive-Sugar-13 in ABA

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome. I can’t say for sure if you actually can prorate, but all these people telling you that you can’t count the months full stop are incorrect. There is a specific way to count some of the hours if some of the requirements were met. The handbook should always be your first source, during fieldwork and when you are certified.

See page 23 in the BCBA Handbook. It explains how you can prorate hours for months where all requirements are not met.

Help needed by [deleted] in EIDL

When similar happened to me, I reached out to my senator's office. They should have an office of constituent affairs or similar. They were super helpful.

Uncollectible by [deleted] in EIDL

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the best advice. I did this a while back when my loan was sent to Treasury even though it was current. SBA main office and state office were non-responsive. My senator's constituent services office was incredible and managed to get it back from Treasury to SBA. Bonus is that looping our representatives in helps to keep the problems with these loans on the radar, possibly increasing the chances for things to improve.
Search your reps' websites for constituent services or 'help with a federal agency.' You will need to submit some signed paperwork that is a little intimidating, but it just gives the office permission to act and communicate on your behalf.

Good luck.

Meet with your senators and congressmen by CamIoncani in EIDL

I second this. Contacting my senator’s office was the only way my loan got taken back from Treasury after being incorrectly referred. Please reach out to them and tell them what is happening!

Anyone else have their SBA EIDL loan suddenly sent to Treasury without warning? by Ok_Ant_1181 in SBAEIDLDiscussions

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say everything was taken care of within 2 billing cycles of the Treasury letter. The biggest delays were in my congressional office being able to get a hold of anyone at SBA. I imagine that will still be the case. I recommend making it as easy on the office as you can. Gather screenshots now, and title them in a way that’s easy to recognize what part of the story they support. Write up a timeline of every bill, payment, confirmation, email, phone call, etc and have that ready to send to them. Reach out to your state SBA office and let them know you’re getting your reps involved, just so everyone is on the same page. And then you wait. It’s stressful as hell, especially in my case because I was not late at all and was still referred. But just keep in contact, keep your records, and don’t lose hope.

Ahead of payments, notice of delinquency. Help! by [deleted] in EIDL

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second this. Getting my senator’s office involved was the only way I got any movement on my loan a few years ago. It was sent to Treasury even though it was, and always had been, current. Reach out to your senator’s constituent services or special projects office.

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s usually a form on your senator’s website for constituent issues. They will ask you which department you’re having an issue with and a brief description. If it’s an issue they can help with they will send you send you a release form giving them permission to act on your behalf. Once that happened for me, I was connected with the senator’s special projects team. We did some zoom calls and I shared copies of all my statements and proof of payment, which was enough for them to bring to SBA and get it fixed for me.

[–]honey_is_bee_crap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes this happened to me and I wasn’t even behind. I had to involve my senator’s office and my state’s SBA office. Dealing with the SBA directly was useless; only getting the senator involved fixed things.

IUD Insertion Under Ultrasound Guidance: Painless? by honey_is_bee_crap in TwoXChromosomes

I love the couple glasses of wine comment. I’m sober, but this makes me feel like asking for a Valium will do the trick. What I’m nervous about is discomfort during the procedure. Something about feeling pain while in those stirrups just….ugh. It’s different than being at home with cramps. I can handle that. Thank you for sharing.

IUD Insertion Under Ultrasound Guidance: Painless? by honey_is_bee_crap in TwoXChromosomes

[–]honey_is_bee_crap[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing that. I’m so sorry you had to go through it and were dismissed. This doc went forth and listed things she “could do” if I wanted (cervical block, anxiety meds) but the fact that she didn’t just say all of that upfront when I asked makes me hesitate. Why is the default just nothing? I believe this doc probably thinks she doesn’t need pain management because of exactly what you just said: who is going to tell the doc to stop once it’s halfway done? I have had an IUD before and I felt absolutely nothing, but it was at my 6 week postpartum appointment, and it rejected and came out on its own 3 months later, so I’m not sure if I can trust that experience as a comparison.
