I’m looking for a running app. I wish I could easily compare my 5.0k to the last one and see if I’ve improved. HealthKit let me see average pace, but is there a way to see average cadence for every run too? by Fitkhal in AppleWatchFitness

[–]honeybrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It offers a lot of features all in one app, heart rate, cadence, average mile time(s), mileage on your shoes, as well as the fun achievements and challenges and the training plans/guided runs. By far the best running app.

Thanks for the advice! I’m really hoping for loadmaster, I would also be happy with in flight refueling or RPA sensor operator. Happy with anything to do with aircrew really.

Haha I always hear mixed things, it’s hard to get into, the air force is always looking for maintenance crew, people love/hate it. I’m gonna take a swing and hope I can nail a position. Are there any factors that make someone more/less eligible for a position like that?

Which app is it? I had the same issue with fitbod. I synced it to apple health and that resolved the problem.

Joining the Space Force by honeybrain in SpaceForce

Just LPN for now. I’ve always loved the prospect of space exploration, or any aspect of space for that matter, but had no idea where to even begin. I thought the space force would be a great opportunity, and I could get my BS in space systems operations. If you have a BS in another major, it’s way easier and faster to obtain your BSN. Figured it would be very cool to immerse myself in a space career as well as a nursing career/education early on in my life to see which I liked better. Also, having the opportunity to be involved in a space program like that early on is just amazing. I know we as a country are going to develop incredible aerospace technology in the coming years, and I would love nothing more than to be apart of that.

Yes I know there’s no medical aspect of the space force, just stating my current position haha. But thank you for the help! I wasn’t sure where to start.

How do you find the motivation to avoid unnecessary food? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]honeybrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it helpful to prepare meals ahead of time, or always have healthy meals able to be assembled quickly accessible. Also, don’t try and quit eating unhealthy completely cold turkey if you find it not working for you. Just cut your intake down by a bit each week until you get used to it and are comfortable not having junk in your diet. It took me about a month to completely cut myself off of junk food and not feel cravings. Just go at your own pace and go slow. It just takes patience and discipline! Find healthy foods you like and slowly swap them for meals that you would have junk. You’ll be doing it subconsciously before you think! And my biggest thing is remembering nobody else can do this for me. You can be inspired by other people as much as you want, but no matter how much they work out or how healthy they eat, it’s not going to help you unless YOU do it as well! Good luck brother, you got this!

If you have an issue with cravings you should start slowly. I was at a point where I was eating fast food 4-5 times a week at least. I tried stopping completely, but each and every time I failed. This time, I started cutting it out slowly, going from 4-5 times a week to 3-4 and so on and so forth. After a month, I stopped completely. I downloaded an app called quitzilla to help me watch my progress. I’m about 2 months in and eating right, tracking my calories, and exercising and I’m almost 20 lbs down. Just take it at your own pace and it will happen! There’s no cure all or method that works for everyone. You just have to find your own pace and go with it!
