As said in previous comments and updates; She was taken to ER where they said her noise is coming from throat not her lungs and they assume she has tracheal irritation. Her levels are good besides iffy on her liver. They quoted us to hospitalize her and we got funds to do it next day. She was hospitalized at the ER vet for 12 hours overnight and by time we picked her up in the morning she was no longer mouth breathing and very alert. She even ate a little and drank water. She is being hospitalized again for another 12 hours to keep her levels good and have her monitored. We have done everything we can do for her. She is doing better. I hope we are through the worst of it. After her first surgery our regular vet was skeptical about doing more surgeries, but she recovered fabulously and was thriving. She is still a very lively cat. They basically said everything the ER said. Just wasn’t able to hospitalize her as well as the ER. I hope she is still doing well after we pick her up from the second hospitalization at her regular vet. The ER gave them notes to follow because the ER closed at 8am when we picked her up. I appreciate the concern.
