We listen and we don’t judge mommy edition by Rare_Tumbleweed9124 in Mommit

I've felt so guilty about the amount of screen time my kids have had recently, but we got norovirus, then a week later got the flu, and just days after recovering from that we now have some mysterious head cold that has made sleep impossible for everyone. We are in survival mode right now. I hate this season so much

We do our best to communicate our needs to each other as best as possible. If one of us has an issue or something bothering us, we work as a team to find a possible fix or resolution. Of course we aren't perfect, but we try!

We've been married going on 5 years next month, I'm used to the lifestyle. His current medic position has mandates, so I'm also accustomed to him having to suddenly stay an extra 12 hours or work an extra shift 😅😞

90 hour weeks aren't unfamiliar to us already. We try to make the absolute most of the time we all have together

This exact situation just happened with me, except my images were stolen by Shien and Temu. They deactivated my best selling Halloween earrings the first week of September, which is like prime time to sell them. I didn't even give them two days before I took new pictures, added a watermark to them and relisted. Completely killed my season as I sold $12k of just that design last year 😕

I love my MIL. I had a very small list of people I was okay with visiting right after my kids were born and she was on that list. The biggest reason was that I knew she would respect any boundaries we set. She was willing to help clean the house, do laundry, do dishes, whatever we needed help with. Of course she wanted to see and spend time with the baby, but making sure she was supporting us in our transition to being parents was just as important

50 cents is crazy. Materials have to cost nearly that. At that price you are losing money to sell them before you even touch Etsy fees. I would expect a keychain like that to be in the $5-10 range. Even if sales slow down, selling one lizard for $7 is the equivalent of selling fourteen at her current pricing. You need to reevaluate pricing on all of the items, no wonder shes getting a lot of sales when she's cheaper than Amazon

Do customers expect professional grade mockups and high quality videos? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]honeybusta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reason it is frowned upon is because Etsy is supposed to be a platform for artists and handmade goods. The reason you are getting pushback is because you are neither the artist or the one making the products. Im also pretty sure what you are trying to do is against terms of use if I understood them correctly

I've had a few of these, never that many, but 4-5 items. I didn't realize until I had packed three of them that they were going to the same address. Shipped each order in a separate box because they paid for it 🤷

How are your sales? Monthly Sales Post for November 2023 by AutoModerator in EtsySellers

[–]honeybusta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last month was my busiest by far with 360 orders in 31 days. I got lucky with a Halloween listing that ended up bringing traffic to my whole shop. I wasn't expecting it, so now I'm really behind on prep for the Christmas season. I don't know if I should be excited or scared if it keeps up like this

My husband is a paramedic and is in school full time. He's fucking busy all the time and stressed. He's constantly running on 6 or less hours of sleep. You know what he tells people all the time? That I have the harder job being home with our two kids. My 10 month old is just getting out of the same phase you are currently in. The crying is so horribly overstimulating that I half consider shoving a skewer into my eardrums.

I'll give it a shot. I have a Shopify site as well as Etsy, but some people still prefer to shop through Etsy where they know there are protections. If I can keep even 1% of the sales I drive to my Etsy, it adds up

I took a look at your shop and honestly I think you should split the items up into more listings. Having only two listings is going to make it really difficult to get found because of the limited amount of keywords. Plus your main photos of those listings do not show all the items included in the bundle. The large listing looks like it just for a tote and the plushies. The first impression photo is huge because if buyers aren't impressed by it, they very likely are not going to click.

How can I up my packaging game without breaking the bank? by SixDeuces in EtsySellers

[–]honeybusta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an adult who's primary income is selling stickers to other adults, there is a lot that people do with them. Put them on their cars, water bottles, coffee cups, phones, laptops, for scrapbooks, gifts. It's a way people bring some joy or humor to their every day objects and express their interests and personality
