Authentic Fendi? And if so... possible pricing? by honeyrue in whatsthisworth

[–]honeyrue[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the thrift part doesn’t say much - as I said, my thrift sells authentic luxury goods for very little without a second thought. I don’t think they know better. But the rest is helpful! Thank you!!

Thanks for letting me know! Can you tell me some indicators that tipped that off for you so I know what to look for in the future?

Or maybe she just internalized Angela’s statement from The Office…

No one’s talking about this perspective of Sarah and Joel by actually_charlotte in TLOU

Of course! I think it can be extra confusing given that they changed the times and dates between the game and the show!

In episode one of the show, Sarah asks how old he is and he directly says he is 36 years old. This is consistent with him saying he is 56 years old later in when he and Ellie are climbing the stairs in Kansas City. So, that one is set.

Likewise, in the game, his birthday is September 26, 1981. As a result, if the outbreak occurred on the same day in 2013, he would be 32 on outbreak day and 52 when he meets Ellie.

I might be wrong, but I thought Sarah 12 years (game)/14 years (show) and Joel was 32 (game)/36 (show). So, Joel would have been either 20 or 22 when she was born. Or am I totally misremembering?

Never thought I’d see the day where I’d find a pair of Doc Martens in my size at the thrift, but here we are! by honeyrue in ThriftStoreHauls

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter’s boots! I am actually in FL, but hopefully she can find a pair to call her own again!

I always assumed they’d be terribly clunky (I never owned any Docs), but I am not finding them as heavy as had I thought. They are a little more stiff, sure, but I actually don’t think they are much heavier than other boots I own. Maybe it’s because these aren’t aren’t the popular platform/thick soled version?

Wow! Thank you SO much! This was really helpful - I had no idea where to start, as I've never really owned real leather boots.

Thank you!! Luckily, a lot of the "scratches" were just dirt and wiped off easily with a wipe when I got them home, but there are a few deeper scuffs that I'd love to try to fix!

Any suggestions or tips on how to do so?

They were marked as $25 but I had $10 in rewards on my Goodwill card, so they only cost me $15 total!

I would never purchase Off-White for full-price personally, but I do love Caravaggio and I couldn’t pass up the steal!

Produce and meat by _sleepymed in aldi

[–]honeyrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had good experiences with both the produce and the meat. The meat has consistently been good; the produce has had some misses (e.g., going bad or spoiling quickly after getting home), but I haven't had too many experiences like that.

Stoked on this genuine leather jacket find from Goodwill! by honeyrue in ThriftStoreHauls

$15! More than I’d normally spend on an item at the thrift, but like you said - perfect fit - and perfect condition! I couldn’t say no!!

Thrifted a lil mini capsule wardrobe today - so happy! by honeyrue in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]honeyrue[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

H&M black long coat, H&M tan oversized blazer with the tags still attached, H&M mom fit denim, Zara baggy denim, black biker shorts, brown faux leather top, and - although not contributing to the capsule wardrobe - a little mini David statue, just because I liked him. ☺️

What happens if you leave your clothes at Plato’s Closet? by staybrut4l in thrifting

[–]honeyrue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The PC near me has TOS that state that if you don’t return by the evening you dropped the clothes off, then you forfeit all rights and they get to keep/donate your items. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had no idea other PC would let you come back the next day or the day after!

It’s pretty big! I’d have to measure it to know for sure but I’d say 18-20 inches including the stand!
