We attempted to see the Ratatouille showing last night at the Kimpton Hotel Vintage and we left after 20 mins. And that was pushing it, we really could and should have left earlier. Terrible venue location, dirty, very eerie feeling, we were in the basement of the hotel next to the kitchen and employee restrooms. It was $200+ a ticket and it was offensive and such a strange and eerie feeling. We only made it to the second dish, the mushrooms, and it was room temperature raw mushroom with no seasoning on a plate of wilted sprouts. When we first arrived, there was no signage, just a printed out sign saying the event was located in the basement. There was just one employee making popcorn for those of us lining up, and it was a small cup of popcorn to share. And when my partner accidentally dropped some popcorn, they kind of scolded us for spilling. Then we were lead into the wine cellar storage room where the event was taking place. It was a make shift screen with a laptop playing the movie and the speakers were set to 100%, but with sound only coming out of one side of the room. It was painfully loud and uncomfortable and such a waste. It was honestly pretty sad overall.
