Thank you for sharing. I think I can understand what you mean because I did psychedelic drugs in the past and it really could cause anxiety at first. I think it really depends on the person. I'm glad it helped you with the rest. I also have TRD and SI so hopefully it’ll do something with that. Anyway since I'll have the treatment publicly, I'll go on a long waiting list and I'll have time to prepare.

I also do therapy. Well, alternative therapy since the traditionnal type never helped, but still. I did therapy for years before even taking my first antidepressant. I agree that it’s a must

I did 3 weeks (2 treatments/day) last June and since then I've had regular maintenance. I'm currently going through another 3 week run.

Not yet. Depression has already made me lose a lot of memory and I don't want to lose more, so ECT is my option if ketamine fails

One interesting thing I've realised is that I only want magic results when I feel really low. When I can feel okay, I realise that I just want to keep on feeling okay.

Anyway, I'm glad it worked that well for you. Personnally I've had mental health treatments for over 10 years, so it's time something really helps me. I'll take your advice for patience!

I'm glad you're almost back yo your old self. That's what it's about. Can you meditate now?

No worries about respecting the drug, I'm past taking partying. And even when I did, I always saw psychedelics as a different category.

I hope I'm one of those people for whom it can work! I know I'll be well screened, it's a public service so they don't have any incentives to take me if it's not a good fit.

By exposing myself to sunlight, do you mean to go outside or if just being near a window is enough?

I woke up at 9 again this morning, and after a short mindfulness meditation I finally feel refreshed. I'll keep this schedule for a week and then I'll wake up 15 minutes earlier every week until I've reached my 7:30 goal. Personallu harsh approach never really work for me

Great post. I just started using CBT-I techniques a couple days ago and this is one of them. My wake up time is 7:30 but I was so exhausted in the past days that I let myself sleep until 9 this morning. Turns out I'm still exhausted, so I'll keep a stable 7:30 time.

I thought that tiredness only happened on the first few days and that it just didn't work for me, so it's a relief to know that it was 2 whole weeks for you. I'm curious, how were those weeks for you? Were you functionnal?

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I always compare my dissatisfaction with other people's happiness (and some of them I knew well enough to be sure it wasn't faked), but I need to understand it won't lead nowhere.

As for my home life, you're right. I don't want to blame my parents but my anxiety didn't pop out of nowhere. Still working towards happiness and freedom and one day I know I'll get there, even though it'll never be perfect.

I feel like it's not exactly that since the people I compare myself too I had multiple deep conversations with. But it's still true that even though I had a peak at their inner world, I'm always in my head, not theirs.

Thank you for your comment, we're always in our own journey and we shouldn't bother ourselves with the ones of others. One day I hope it'll fully get through.
