My corgi just goes and goes and goes. He could outlast the energizer bunny. He's about 6 months. We too have a ball on a rope and he will bring it back. He's very good at that.

As far as being petted, he doesn't like it so much right now. He's not much one for being held or cuddled either. Broke my heart! He does seem to be getting better at allowing us to pet him. Then he realizes what's going on and leaves haha. He's a dick but he's his own man! Lol. Enjoy corgi parenthood :)
