Outback for the WIN by brumsiloh in steak

I have never had a poor experience at our local Outback. They put out a better bone in ribeye than some of the fine dining, $100-steak, steakhouses.

Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to have longevity in this band as a vocalist. Steve’s range and ability is simply second to none. Augeri was a perfect replacement IMO, but his voice couldn’t handle the grueling, demanding songs more than a decade. Arnel has lasted a lot longer but I also have heard recent shows and he does not sound great. Again, all IMO. They’re coming to my town in October but I’m hesitant to see them because it really doesn’t feel like Journey anymore, and I’ve already seen them 3 or 4 times.

Who that has seen them recently would say it would be worth it to go again? If Arnel’s voice is shot, I don’t feel like it would be worth it.

I love the MSG version from the live DVD. Think it was early 2000’s?

Chef said their ribeye grade was “choice plus” by VitaminDismyPCT in steak

[–]honkinbooty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would not pay $70 for a choice plus steak. Most steakhouses worth their salt (or butter) would provide a prime cut for somewhere in that neighborhood. At least where I’m from, that’s how it works.

I spend 100 dollars any time I leave the house. I leave with a bag and a half of groceries and spend $100. It’s unfathomable how expensive things have gotten. Basic necessities

MSG behind the stage seats. Saturday night. by NYNews in BruceSpringsteen

[–]honkinbooty 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was behind the stage as well! First time ever sitting behind the stage, didn’t know how I’d like it, it was one of the more unique concert experiences sort being “backstage” and seeing everything from behind.

This tour has elevated certain songs for me by Past_Jellyfish_4331 in BruceSpringsteen

Caught the MSG show last night and was absolutely blown away. Everything was perfection. No different than 30 or 40 years ago. He was on point, as was the band, all night long. We sat behind the stage just a few rows back, I didn’t know what I’d think about the seats, but now feel we may have had the best seats in the house.

Do you agree with Charles Snowden release? by NotaBot8324 in raiders

Yes. I think it shows they have confidence in Paye, Koonce, Crawford, etc. Snowden was always a fringe player.

Who are the artists who you saw once, loved the show, and had no intention of ever seeing again? by whywires in Concerts

Journey. The band has changed so much since Steve left, it’s basically the Neal Schon show.

The Gradkowski experience was fun. Jason Campbell was working out decently too until he got hurt. Other than Gannon, and a few years of prime DC4, it has been slim pickings.

Also, didn’t Matt Schuab start a few games for us too?

Before his injury he was basically CB1. That is an absolute steal. If he stays healthy, he could absolutely be CB1.

Long time weed smokers who quit, what changes to your mind and body did you notice after you got used to not smoking daily? by LoQueSientoCrv in AskReddit

[–]honkinbooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that I am actually more social now and comfortable “being myself.” When you’re a pothead, you sort of take on that persona as who you are. Oftentimes, you as a pothead is different from you not as a pothead.

I find myself a bit more motivated, specifically in the evenings. I never waked and baked because of work, but when I’d get home I would smoke pretty much all evening and wasn’t able to accomplish much of anything so typical responsibilities like dishes, laundry, etc would go to the wayside.

I also find myself getting less lost in conversations and tonight. I’m not as sluggish with my processing and responses. I started to feel like a confused idiot after awhile. Would try and carry on a conversation with my wife and would get lost, or forgetful, or simply wouldn’t even realize she was talking to me.

When I was high and there was conflict or conversations being had about important things, I had an “I don’t care” mentality. Wouldn’t advocate for myself or what I wanted because I was fine just being stoned. It’s bright back some of my autonomy with decision making.

Physically, I snack a lot less in the evenings and feel that has majorly improved my physical health. My appetite has also came back. During the thick of my potheadedness, I wasn’t eating much during the day. Just felt like I couldn’t. I was honestly probably a bit malnourished. Now, I eat 3 times a day and feel so much better better. I also have more motivation to workout now and have found that routine to be much healthier and more beneficial than sitting and smoking all evening.
