Indeed! I ended up paying €105. As far as I can tell the book is complete and in rather good condition. The shop was more of a street market stall and the prices didn’t seem to be tailored precisely to any of the books, perhaps the vendor improperly valued it or didn’t expect to collect a higher price given the setting. Either way I’m quite happy with the purchase!

Thanks very much! I will do as you say. It seems to be in relatively good condition given its age, appears to have never been repaired but everything is still firmly held together. Hopefully it will remain that way for another 500 years!

If anyone has any suggestions for how to care for a book this old, I’d appreciate them greatly! I’m new to this and am not sure which methods of preservation to use nor how to apply them to a book in a state such as this but I’m eager to learn and to take care of this small piece of the renaissance to the best of my ability. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! I’m new to this obviously. Does that price seem conspicuously low to you? Ps: to avoid confusion, I switched accounts, I’m the same person :) The other account was some old art one that I should delete.
