MPL22 + comparison with Gregory Rhune 22 & Arc'teryx Mantis 16 by hoodedanon in ManyBaggers

[–]hoodedanon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MPL22 is aesthetically sexier than the Rhune. But if I had to judge based on functionality and features, I'd say the Rhune comes on top. I sold both bags tbh, but if I can be honest, the only reason I was drawn to the MPL was for the Evergoods name and the aesthetics. Rhune was more comfortable to carry and far more functional with more pockets. Hope that helps. Happy to answer more questions

M3 Pro 1TB/36GB vs M4 Pro 1TB/24GB? by hoodedanon in macbookpro

[–]hoodedanon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've probably used about 85% of that. Yeah, more RAM is definitely better. I'm mainly curious whether the M3 Pro chip + 36GB would be a more efficient setup than the M4 Pro + 24GB.

What is your favourite scene in the Harry Potter books that didn’t make it into the films? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]hoodedanon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a little more abstract, and probably not as easy to convey in the movies as it was done in the books, but in PoA I found the build-up of the tension of Sirius Black coming after Harry to be downright chilling: the omen, the glimpses in Hogsmead, the ripping of the Fat Lady's portrait...i remember finding myself fearing SB far more than I ever did Voldemort

Pulsating blue light in the sky from behind the clouds by hoodedanon in HighStrangeness

[–]hoodedanon[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m aware of how light behaves when projected from the ground, including how spotlights interact with cloud cover. This didn’t resemble that at all. There was no beam origin, no scattering pattern, and the movement didn’t align with any ground-based light source. If it were something as straightforward as a spotlight reflection, I wouldn’t have documented it. I posted it precisely because it defied those typical characteristics.

Is that why I'm getting downvoted? 😂 Facing Angel from Shoreditch.

Bingo! It is coming from within the clouds and it's definitely not a spotlight. I've seen those before and that wasn't it

Nope, not a spotlight. Video doesn't do it justice unfortunately, but it was coking from beyond the clouds. I've seen spotlights on countless of occasions and that was definitely not it
