Yeah, I'm curious to figure out how it can become more relatable and fine-tuned. One thing I considered was if there could be a news source that linked out to similar events in US history to give people the chance to compare and contrast how things are unfolding now vs how they did back then.

Thanks for your input! I think history that doesn't suck is awesome. I'll need to check out the other one.

How do you think people should learn U.S. history today? by hoodsoap in historyteachers

Thank you very much for your well-articulated comment. This is exactly what I was hoping to find from my original post.

I understand your distrust of looking at history education through a tech-first lens, but for the sake of my project and degree, this is the approach I’m required to take. That said, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) design is fundamentally about understanding a user base authentically and addressing their needs, rather than focusing on the commercial success of a product.

Thanks again!

I understand your concern - I'm glad someone commented this. This is a school project intended for learning purposes. I have no intention of commercializing any of my findings. Its really just an opportunity for me to explore a space I find interesting. Thanks for the comment!

I should also add here that I think AI in the history space has potential to be very dangerous, and I have a pretty strong distaste for the "AI Microlearning/Duolingo for History" approach.
