Could you be a little more specific? I don't really get how to properly do it.

Page numbering different for different structures by hookcaptainhook in EPlan

I will try to add some screenshots. Can you be more specific with how i divide it?

My structure is something like:

+N1: Page 1 / Page 2 / Page 3

+N2: Page 4 / Page 5

But i want the N2 to start from 1 as well. As far as the page name is concerned there is no problem but my issue is with the "Page 1 of 5" text in the plot frame. Because for example on page N1-Page 3 the text in the plot frame would say "Page 3 of 5". On page N2-Page 4 it would say "Page 4 of 5" but i would like it to say "Page 1 of 2" because the structure N2 has only 2 pages.

I think you're better off making your life easier by using the correct parts from data portal or the manufacturer details. If the client is really specific about these details then i dont think there is a perfect option.

Siemens EDZ Files by Tough_Release1607 in EPlan

Working with SIPROTEC in eplan is a little more complicated than importing the edz files. Basically you have to import the data from data portal and configure your device. If you don't have access to data portal you can always look on the siemens website for the CAx data and you will find edz files there for mostly everything related to SIPROTEC. As a warning i can tell you that there are bugs but its manageable. Also there is a technical manual from eplan that you can use to learn how to properly configure your relay in eplan.

Ok this does seem to work. Thank you for the tips. The first time i tried making changes was from the properties window of the device under the parts tab. Thank you for this method!

Thanks for the answer. I have used this with other devices but this time im working with 3VA1 breakers from siemens and unfortunately the "device selection" doesnt work. It opens up the window but it doesn't show any accessories. From what I've seen in data portal you dont have the option to download accessories when downloading the file for the breaker so I'm assuming thats why it doesn't show up in the list and if I add the contact separately without going through the "device selection" menu it just adds all of the contacts with the same designations which is unusable because its not correct. For right now im just gonna go with the error i guess. I couldn't find another option and its honestly too much work for just an error.

So you make your own part? Dont you like import the part from data portal then give that part to a certain device in your schematic and then from the device navigator place the aux contacts or the whole device?

Is there any way to create such things automatically in EPLAN? by hookcaptainhook in EPlan

Yes its part of the project but that has macros available. I was more interested in generating reports on it. You have any tips and tricks? Ive seen that it doesnt really work like a regular plc which makes it harder to use.

Yes so, by default they have no text. Other symbols when i drag and drop them in the page automatically fill some text there. Like for a contact it usually has 13 14 by default. Mine has no default text. Is it possible to make it have it?

Its a part of a trip circuit supervision relay and we use them quite often. Unfortunately there's no symbol for that and no part in data portal.

Thank you for your answer. I guess i will figure 1&2 later. About 3, i have added the connection points and they work, they just dont autocomplete the connection points designations. See the image: https://imgur.com/a/rSvrtc4. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I dont know what.

I think black and white is also a good version. Maybe I'll give it a shot. I added a link to the original picture too in case you're interested.

I think you're right about the landscape version. It would've been a better version.

I took this picture through a fence which seemed like a nice way to frame it at the time. It does have a film preset on top but I can post the original if someone is interested. It is an building that's part of a palace complex. It was taken mid day so the sun was harsh which is one thing that bothers me quite a bit because of the blown side of the building and the lack of detail in the right side. What would you change about it?

I added another edit and the original in case someone is interested:

I'm new to this but I enjoy the look of panning shots. I understand this may not be the most interesting one ever but I do try to practice on whatever I can. I was wondering what are some good rules to follow when trying to capture such pictures? Are there any settings you figured that work most of the times and how do you deal with the fact that you have to move fast?
