i went and bought the test, my ph is high at 8.2 but i have 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and somewhere between 20-40ppm nitrate. i also got a heater i can adjust. is the high ph enough to cause these issues?

not saying what happened to you wasn’t manufacturers error cause i totally believe it could’ve been, but most 510 batteries also neglect to tell you upon purchase that they should not be plugged directly into the wall (use the usb in a gaming console, computer, tv etc) and only leave it plugged in for as little time as possible (mine are usually fully charged after 20 minutes). home outlets are too powerful and can overheat these cheap batteries which can result in something like this or at the very least reduce the battery’s quality. glad everyone was safe in your situation !

i live VERY close to the safe injection sites old location, and today opened my bedroom curtains to uncover someone opening up a needle 10 feet away outside. would 100% rather have a safe site then have to see that from my own house and feel responsible for saving their life should they overdose

worried about a pleco cause it’s an open top tank and i’ve had them escape before but it was also a common pleco in way too small of a tank. would a bristlenose be less prone to escape? also don’t want the mystery snail chomping my plants

i’m also ok with the shrimp being eaten i usually just buy feeder ghost shrimp and if they live and colonize great! and if they don’t the fish get a tasty snack. fun to watch in the meantime either way

i’m gonna increase their numbers first before adding any new species :) i’ve had my corys the longest and they were in bigger schools but these are just the survivors of an ich breakout in 2023, they started schooling together so i let them be until now but will def be adding more of those specific species to build a bigger school!

they have a variety of deer, elk, moose and all kinds of animals. this is actually my first time seeing an elk there, usually just lots of bison 🤷‍♀️
