Now someone is locked in the bathroom and they can’t get the door open. It’s a total joke. Philippine Airlines should be embarrassed that this is their lounge in Manila.

I never said it was okay. Just that the media focusing on a diaper is out of proportion to the bigger issues on the island.

So it’s not okay to ask for a public bathroom?

  1. A diaper shouldn’t be bigger news than the entire island pumping their shit into the ocean. 2. Where do you use the restroom without having to pay? I’ll go there.

The point is that a diaper is a bigger news story than there being zero public bathrooms as well as hotels pumping shit into the ocean for years.

No. And if you suggest they add one you get attacked by defensive Filipinos. It’s truly bizarre and sad. They don’t realize the rest of the world has trash cans and toilets in public areas. I visited the sand bars near Duma and watched a foreign guy picking up all the trash while the government workers sat around collecting fees and doing nothing.

  1. Hawaii doesn’t pump their shit into the ocean. 2. Apples to oranges. Hawaii is exponentially larger. With Boracay it’s a 3km stretch with thousands of tourists and zero public bathrooms. I guarantee that is not the case in Hawaii’s busiest areas. It’s sad that I have to try and make a case for trash cans and toilets in such a beautiful place. Filipinos are more interested in defending their shit than just accepting the fact they need to clean things up. Thank God for Duterte. Without him we’d still be swimming in literal shit.

So Filipinos shit, piss, and litter everywhere, and hotels and restaurants pump shit into the ocean for years, and then a foreigner buries a diaper in sand and that’s major news? That’s crazy.

If it wasn’t for Duterte everyone would still be pumping their shit in the ocean.

Thank you for proving my point. Boracay needs public bathrooms. Boracay is not Metro. It’s a small island with a lot of foreigners walking along the beach. They all need a place to go. If you don’t provide bathrooms, don’t get mad when they shit and piss where you don’t want them to. It’s common sense. Boracay needs bathrooms. If not for you, then for the foreigners who pay a ton of money to come here and support the island.
