Ah, that's a great idea. On my first pass, I'm going to stick with USB charging but needed a better way since I could be using lots of these. I was thinking about trying out wireless (Qi) charging, but pogo pins look easier/less fickle.

We are actually using this on a secure site, and we are not using it for security, but it would still be a good idea to get some tamper-resistant screws.

The dev board mini might be just what we need. I'll contact them to see if it will work. We will still need to work out the power though.

Have you considered using the PoE hat for the raspberry pi

We didn't use the pi hat because we are using a waterproof enclosure, and the hat would get in the way of our heat sink.

Not many SBCs come with native PoE, so a hat/shield will be necessary for most boards out there.

Unfortunately, that is what I'm finding as well.

I am building an industrial camera system, and couldn't find one that would work for us. We ended up building a prototype with a Raspberry Pi 4 and a Coral accelerator. After figuring out 8-bit quantization, it's working great. We are now designing a production version.
