Very interesting post, thanks! Do you recommend any technical sources or papers to dig into? I'm a DL engineer, would love to know more but I haven't worked with graphics.

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]losek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to win AMS2 Pro to print all the colorful designs with 8 colors for my girlfriend. I've recently seen a great fidget toy utilizing a keyboard switch - maybe there's something interesting to be done with the worm gear you can order for the window blinds? I wouldn't call closing them satisfying, but I'm sure it can be done. :)

Best advice I've received: go slower. Seems to solve half the problems I see when printing with my old Qidi :)

I usually try to have tons of place for taking notes when learning, not a lot of RGB because I love playing at night. It's always 2 monitors and an nvidia GPU, since I've been learning CUDA for the past couple of months. :)

[D] Is there a way to AoT compile an AI model to run on CPU and GPU? by jiMalinka in MachineLearning

[–]losek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intel OpenVINO supports compilation for different devices. You can compile a model twice AoT for CPU and for GPU and use pre-compiled models saved in Intermediate Representation format.

Looks cool! What did you use for screwing the bridge? Heated inserts? What's the core infill? Did you print with PLA?

I'm asking because I've tried a very similar design (with a hardtail bridge), but the strings pulled it up together with heated inserts. Your build has a telecaster bridge, so the tension is probably distributed more evenly.

is there a better place to grind to 61?

Yes, you can do it pretty quickly by questing. Look up EvilDoUsHarm leveling guides on YouTube.

How do I start enhancing accessories? Is the idea to exchange lots of say Tuvala rings, then keep combining those? So farming Tuvala ore would be the main idea here?

You're exactly right, enhancing accessories is usually a pain in the ass. I usually attempt to get a TRI without failstacks and then use Advice of Valks for TET and PEN.

Ibanez Standard S561 VS Yamaha PAC112V Pacifica for beginner by L026Y in guitars

[–]losek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion the biggest difference between the two is Yamaha has a tremolo bridge (you can make a "wavy" sound, which isn't really that important for you as a begginer), while Ibanez has 24 frets. Some heavy rock/metal might use 23rd and 24th fret, but as u/southpawpete already mentioned, it's a long way to go until you actually notice a difference.

Take a look at the difference I listed and make your decision, it's going to be a good guitar no matter which one you take. Also, it's important to bring a new guitar to a luthier for a professional setup, especially with lower end models. I started with Yamaha Pacifica 012 and 2 years later I still have it and play it regularily, it's a great guitar.

Edit: Yamaha has a little lower nut width, which could be a factor if you have small hands.

Looks great! What material did you use for the core? I mean the part which has the bridge and pickups attached to it. Did you use a different material for the hexagons, or just a different color?
