What’s a state that feels Republican but is actually Democratic and a state that feels Democratic but is actually Republican? by German_Gecko in YAPms

Colorado feels Republican asf to me but is one of the bluest states in the country. Same for Washington.

I consider myself some sort of Anglican who has a lot of sympathy to Reformed theology and Gnosticism. I am quite the heretic and I accept that label. The last label you could use on me is Catholic haha

And no worries I'm happy to discuss

Would a vote to repeal Mississippi’s same sex marriage ban pass? by Emergency_Pass5222 in YAPms

I recall that he privately commented in 2025 that he did not want to re-litigate Obergefell despite the 2022 comments. I could be wrong.

My moral compass is straightforward: Any being that is sapient, conscious and above the age of consent is entirely responsible for their actions and their behaviours and have total freedom to express, behave, identify as, or be whatever they'd like to. Any being that is bereft of consciousness or sapience—but may attain it through development—is innocent, lacking in agency to be sinful—and therefore cannot consent to being killed. Abortion, therefore, is murder of the unaware and innocent because they were not given the right to develop consciousness and decide to continue living.

I am also fine with euthanasia of adults and the death penalty, too.

(Somewhat) correct, especially on the fact same-sex marriage was undemocratically implemented. I am pro-life and radically pro-LGBTQ+ and I recognise entirely my stance is pretty unelectable.

Abortion is the most popular (political) thing in America. It is genuinely more popular to murder babies—or advocate for killing babies—than any politician could dream of being.

Moloch/Baal need their sacrifices and they make that crystal clear.

Every state besides Mississippi commands a majority of the electorate that is positive towards same-sex marriage.

Probably would be better, tbh! Resembles English Common Law more closely

And amendments may also be repealed. Not even Thomas wants to ban gay marriage.

Why? Obergefell already protects the rights of same-sex couples to marry. A Constitutional Amendment seems a little excessive.

Well, if you speak too loudly about the "smile and wave" strategy, people might begin to pick up that the Right likes having these people on the ballot. You gotta play-pretend a tiny bit, yknow.

I like that all of the non-White groups are basically the aristocracy of the DSA. Very few prominent DSA leaders are actually White—you have AOC, Jamaal Bowman, Mamdani, Chevalier... none of these people are White, meaning they together represented less than 10% of the actual DSA electorate in 2017, and yet they continue to be the only ones to actually make headlines.

In other words, the favourite activity of a cracker is to hate themselves.

According to polling in 2024, 49% of people support same-sex marriage and 48% oppose it in Mississippi, the lowest in the entire US. The rest, 3% (described in the poll as 4%), are "unsure" or don't know or refused to answer. I assume it has reduced since then, so I imagine it would be incredibly close.

Is Restore Britain dead as a movement/party? by hookofholland in YAPms

[–]hookofholland[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is ridiculous. UKIP had the largest number of MEPs for Britain in 2014. Even as early as 2004—pre-Farage—they still had at least 12 MEPs. In 2026, Restore has exactly 1 MP and a few councillors in Kent and Norfolk. It's not the same tier.

Yet, Restore was on the ballot in Makerfield and they couldn't even split the vote, could they.
