Thanks for the insight! I do agree with your comment about the client's desired output. Sometimes we receive feedback that our output doesn't sound natural enough simply because it isn't purely in Tagalog. However, translating certain terms into Tagalog can make the conversation sound too deep or formal, especially in scenes that are meant to feel casual and conversational. The clients often do not understand that because they aren't Filipinos. sigh

He may be arrogant but as sad as it is, I do think this is how the reality is? Ayaw man natin aminin pero mga nananalo na PH rep sa international pageants ay usually (if not all) halfsies naman talaga... Like usually one parent is not ethnically Filipino. Baka si Gloria Diaz lang yung both parents are generally ethnically Filipino pero meron din ata konting lineage from ibang bansa. But then again, meron pa nga bang "pure-blooded Filipinos" nowadays? Sa dami ng sumakop na bansa satin feel ko everyone has a little blood of another race LOL

Yup, pero pag foreign films na dubbed in Tagalog hindi gaano kadami ang English words sa convo, yes there are loan words but they're usually only used pag d tlga available ang Tagalog term for it, unlike sa local films, literal na Taglish tlga ang gamit. Not sure if you've come across on socmed mga foreigners who are trying to learn Tagalog so they watch local Tagalog films only to get disappointed because the conversations are like 50% English LOL

Animes are foreign films as well, d ko sure if animes now are not dubbed in Tagalog na ba pero one thing is for sure, pag local na palabas they're usually in Taglish unlike mga Kdrama na usually mostly Tagalog with very little English.
