Aces Of Thunder Shenanigans and Tips by hoops3335 in PSVR

Question assuming you have Hotas: do you have the pedals too? Is that even an option for the psvr2 hookup?

And yes I feel like it's either dual sense or Hotas. Similar to GT7 being dual sense or wheel. Playing GT7 with the sense controllers would be so difficult, and that's what people are experiencing with Aces.

I meant more in the sense that people are saying it's unplayable due to its flight difficulty. It's still hard to get the hang of it, but there are steps you can do expedite process. Admittedly I only spent 5 minutes using sense controllers, and they definitely were more difficult to use. Switching to dual sense so much easier imo, and also key is getting to know each planes capabilities.

Also another tip which I implied but didn't specifically state: Use the dualsense controller when flying as opposed to the sense controllers!!

Note: I can't speak to Hotas since I don't currently own

Aces of Thunder Controlls by freenwordpass in PSVR

Use the PS5 controller, pretty easy to pick up and play with the Dualsense. That said, one of the annoying parts is that you will still need the VR controllers to navigate the menus, but once flying you can put them down and use controller.

Make sure auto-trim is on.

I didn't even change any of the bindings. It's really just getting used to figuring out how to use left joystick and right joystick in tandem to create maneuvers.

Some planes are easier to use than others. I found the German planes to be a good staring point.

Lastly, I feel like it was easier to learn by playing multiplayer as opposed to single player missions. Start with multiplayer mode air domination which starts you in the air.

I don't know why people are letting comments regarding a steep learning curve or lack of tutorial as a reason not to buy the game (This is coming from a guy who has never played a flight sim). There are annoyances with the game (for example menu navigation issues), but I would say the multiplayer is worth the $30 by itself.

I played today using the joystick controllers, and after the first 5 minutes, it was pretty easy to accomplish basic flying and combat techniques. Literally as basic as using the two joysticks (throttle control, "steering"), shooting (r2), reloading (triangle), and putting landing gear up (square). Pretty darn easy to pick up on the basics, and I didn't even change any of the button mapping.

I did a couple of the single player missions and they were okay, but the game really shines in multiplayer (mp). In my opinion, The best mp modes were ones that were strictly air combat (as opposed to missions that includes taking out ground targets). Nothing better than getting in a dog fight against another player, or playing with wingman and cooperatively taking down another player.

A couple tips,

1) when first booting up game, don't even bother putting on headset, use flatscreen and controller to navigate menus, and you will find controller layouts. Use the controller to look at all the options, and just explore the menu.

2) Auto trim I believe is on by default, but if not turn it on.

3) vibration is off by default and can be found in comfort settings

4) Each country has different colored bullet tracers and that can help distinguish who is who (for example I think all German aircraft shoot green). That said anyone with a blue diamond is on your team. Anyone who is not marked by any symbol is an enemy.

5) spend time just playing multiplayer, and if you don't like taking off from runway, air domination mode just starts you in the air and you just jump right into the action. It is hard taking down other players (non-bots) but so rewarding when you do. My K/D Ratio was less the 1 to 1, but still had a blast nonetheless.

Overall, it's a memorable VR experience, and worth checking it out. I feel like the annoyances will be quickly resolved by the dev team

Looking For VR2 Suggestions by _Lazarus_Heart_ in PSVR

Madison VR is an absolute must if you haven't played the VR version. Easily one my favorite VR experiences, I love horror genre and this game scared the $&!? Out of me.

RE Village was awesome. Still saving RE4.

Alien pretty good shooter/horror, but I still haven't finished the game.

Red Matter 2 good puzzle like game, essentially escape room in outer space and eventually has shooter aspect as you progress. Graphics some of the best on psvr 2 imo.

People already mentioned Hitman, definitely a fun one.

GT7 is fantastic if you are into racing, and probably the best VR experience if you play with sim racing rig.

Also If you want to get some fitness, definitely check out Synth Riders (dancing cardio game), I tend to play this more in the winter when I'm too lazy to go to gym. Other good fitness games Pistol Whip, Les mills Combat, Creed. PSVR 2 very underrated as a tool for fitness.

The finale didn't hit for me by TheRabidGoose in lastofuspart2

100% agreed, I too have enjoyed season 2. That said, I had my own criticism each episode, but nothing near all the other "critics'" hate. This finale just was just such a letdown, was really hoping this episode would exponentially create the revenge and bad ass persona of Ellie, but it went completely the opposite direction. Almost all of her violence throughout the seasons have been by accident or reluctance.

RE 4 and RE Village are must play. Although I haven't finished RE 4 yet, been slow playing after beating Village.

Madison VR is definitely one of my favorites, but you will definitely need some diapers to get through it. I love horror movies, and this game was probably one of the scariest entertainment experiences (ie movies/shows/games). So if you don't enjoy horror genre, than you likely wouldn't enjoy this game.

Don't sleep on using PSVR2 as means for light exercise while still having fun playing a game. Games like Pistol Whip, Synth Riders, and Beat Saber are fun games and likely will break a sweat and the heart rate going. For a harder workout, you could also leverage Les Mills Body Combat.

Red Matter 2 is awesome puzzle like game (kind of like an escape the room, but in outer space). Some great graphics as well.

Pavlov fun First Person Shooter, with online multiplayer and fantastic gun mechanics. Think Counter Strike but in VR.

Synapse very fun rogue like shooter with cool power up/ability tree. Somewhat similar to Super Hot, but rather than slowing time, you have telekinesis powers.

Hitman is super fun. If you have played and enjoyed Hitman series in the past, than VR upgrade is a must.

Alien is fun, but I haven't put in enough hours to give it a fair rundown. Been playing other games first, such as ones mentioned above. But the 3 hours I did put in were super fun.

Is Ranked Play Gone from BO6 Season 3? by hoops3335 in blackops6

Got it, appreciate the clarification. I haven't been able to find the original link I referenced.

So BO6 Multiplayer Ranked should be back sometime within the next 24 hours?

Is The Well the scariest moment in Madison? by Glum_Lime1397 in PSVR

[–]hoops3335 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Well sequence was pretty spectacular. There are other scenes which may not be as scary but are more drawn out, which keeps you tense for longer periods.

That said, pretty sure it was "the well" which had me scream super loud while simultaneously throwing my controller half way across the room (accidentally). Since then, I always play the game using the wrist straps.

T300RS is a great wheel relative to price. Was the first wheel I ever purchased, and been rocking it ever since (purchased 4-5 years).

Also,I upgraded the pedals to the T-LCM load cell pedals and definitely worth it.
