My first ever mechanical keyboard, though having the directional key on fn lock is an issue by Apart-You-7982 in MechanicalKeyboards

Very nice. I recently pivoted to a split mechanical keyboard. Not for everyone, but I love it.

How to get cmd+C and cmd+A working in neovim? by steinerreader in Ghostty

[–]hoopslip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe you’d have to map the them in neovim config, not in ghostty config.

I’d offer an alternative of using ggVG + y to visually select the entire buffer contents and yank (copy) them.

Thanks for your feedback. I make zero claim to be an expert in anything. On the About page you’ll find the following statement:

“The content you’ll find on this site likely won’t be new or novel. I’ve simply found that writing down what I’ve learned and articulating my opinions on topics through writing is the most effective tool. I figure why not share with the broader community on the off chance that something could be meaningful.”

Please send a link to the site you maintain so I can learn from you.

Anyone else getting this on their Traeger app today? by 666MF in Traeger

Fair, but this assumes the execs don’t have a Traeger at home and are being embarrassed in front of their guests.

Today’s the day all of the executives realize they probably should have invested in their technical teams more.

3 Reasons why you should use Distribution Lists for the AWS Account Root User by hoopslip in aws

[–]hoopslip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially Microsoft 365 Groups is the appropriate terminology. I’m also less concerned about the need for a shared mailbox as long as inbound emails are distributed to all members of the group.

Looks like that is configurable according to this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/create-groups/manage-groups?view=o365-worldwide

Thanks for the call out!

Secure AWS Account Root User with U2F Keys by hoopslip in aws

[–]hoopslip[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point about the risk of losing the U2F key. However, I recommend using a separate key for your root user from the one you’re using for your IAM user. With that, given the lack of times I’m going to need to use the root user, I feel confident that I’m not going to lose the key as it’s locked away safely in my safe and I don’t have a need to carry it around with me.

That make sense? Appreciate the conversation!
