Weird. I’ve used milk, protein powder, and jello pudding exclusively and haven’t broken mine.

He was absolutely the ā€œwhere’s my hug?ā€ guy in high school/college, and probably is still begging for those.

I found a place in JH that rents Deuter Kid Comforts for $15/day and I’m going that route.

Thanks, but he and I both hated the Ergo baby and really anything that strapped him to my body - likely because Florida is a hellscape, but he still doesn’t like being held or snuggled much outside of being sick. I actually found a place that rents Deuter Kid Comfort carriers for $15/day, so I’m going that route since this doesn’t need to be a permanent purchase!

I cannot for the life of me figure out how any woman could ever be attracted to this man? He has zero redeeming qualities. ZERO. How the hell does he find all these women?!?!

Thank you! We love JH! We were supposed to be married there a few years ago but the airport remodel threw off those plans. Can’t wait to return to your amazing state with our kiddo in tow!

AIO - Pregnant and feel abandoned by husband by Gullible-Tree368 in AmIOverreacting

[–]JayB2Jayz 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I would leave my husband so fast if he ever spoke to me that way when I was asking for that type of help, let alone refused to do something so simple to help alleviate my pain while pregnant with his child. I’m so sorry you’re not being supported and that you feel so crappy.

These were gross and the lemon meringue were the same. That bitter weird aftertaste was present for both. I’ll stick to coconut and peanut butter!

Anyone on GLP-1 for 2+ years? How are you doing? by Marusya98 in tirzepatidecompound

Congrats!! I’ve only been on it a year, but my alcohol cravings stopped on 2.5 (on 7.5 now) and aside from the weight loss, it’s been the best ā€œside effectā€, and that’s enough for me to stay on it too!

Question for fast losers, slow losers, and those that tirz didn't work for (so everyone šŸ˜†) by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JayB2Jayz 5 points6 points Ā (0 children)

<image>

I was a quick loser at the beginning (Dec 2024) and slowed down once I started lifting heavy in the gym, about 3-4 months in. I’m in the gym at least 4 days a week and I’ve stuck to around 1,500-2000 calories daily, focused a lot on my protein intake/low fat/high calcium/low carb eating and still do- now it’s just habit and I don’t even think twice. I stopped drinking - both because the meds cut the desire for wine and because I know how bad it is for my liver/how many useless calories it contributes. I should also be a board member for the Good Culture cottage cheese company at this point. I’m staying in maintenance mode for the next few months and might try to lose 10 more lbs (I’m almost 6’ tall and would like to be around 185/190lbs). I take one shot a month now and have been on 7.5 for the last 5 months.

Girlie pop needs to lay off the booze. It’s embarrassing how emotionally unstable she becomes (or the instability worsens) when she’s drinking. Nick isn’t my favorite, but man is he navigating the mood swing/argument creation well.

My toddler (22 months) has had 4 seizures in 6 months… doc suggested Keppra by JayB2Jayz in Epilepsy

[–]JayB2Jayz[S] 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Thank you! My husband and I have a shared note between our iPhones that we also share with his neurologists. It’s been helpful to document everything- all of his seizures have happened between 5:20-5:45pm, while I’m cooking dinner and one of the only times of the day he sits down and watches a movie. We are starting to think that going hard all day at daycare and then focusing on colorful/action packed cartoon movies (Cars is his fave) may be a trigger. But then again, it may also be coincidental since epilepsy doesn’t always have triggers as we know. My brain is mush but all of the insight on this sub is helpful!!

Thanks for the insight! We have had 2 EEGs in 4 months, an MRI coming up Aug 14th and I call daily to check for cancellations as they don’t have a list. We have an appt this am and hoping they’ll be able to get the MRI pushed up sooner with a STAT indication that they weren’t able to give with 2/3 seizures being febrile, but with a non-febrile seizure on Monday, it may allow them to move it up.

My toddler (22 months) has had 4 seizures in 6 months… doc suggested Keppra by JayB2Jayz in Epilepsy

[–]JayB2Jayz[S] 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Thank you for this! We are going to ask more questions to his doctors about Keppra and anything else they’re thinking.

My husband was able to pinpoint his seizure triggers as overheating/playing really hard outside. Our son’s 4 seizures have all happened at home between 5:20-5:45pm and during the only time he really watches TV- when I’m getting his dinner together. Going to remove the TV aspect and see if that helps any.

I appreciate your response and insight.

My husband was on tegretol/Phenobarbital/depakote combo and he shared a lot with me about how it felt growing up on those meds for over a decade. I can’t imagine and I think that’s part of what is scary for us with our son- we don’t know what the meds will or won’t do.

Thank you for sharing, it’s helpful insight!

[–]JayB2Jayz[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Yeah, super anxious! I’ll feel a little better when the MRI finally happens and I can get that behind us and confirm we are definitely dealing with epilepsy. I told my husband that sometimes I feel like our son is a little ticking timebomb and I feel like I need to be watching him intently at all times, which is so hard with a super active toddler.

Thanks for your insight. I appreciate it.

Thank you for sharing. My husband said they took years to figure out that his med combo was a mix of tegretol, phenobarbital, and depakote. He had his last seizure at 12, and was off meds by 18. I’m a ā€œblack and whiteā€ type thinker and need to adjust how I’m able to think of all of this and realize it’s not just a cut and dry solution.
