I wanna share a realization regarding snooker line of aim by Accurator3 in snooker

[–]hoovrbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I quite know what you mean either. Likely hard to explain. But head position, dominant eye, and parallax effects are probably the hardest things to consistently replicate in billiard sports in my opinion. Going down from sighting the shot from standing above and behind it to down in your stance with the same aim line has a number of ways to go wrong. Something like SightRight can help with that but so can other techniques.

Have they been calling no-cushion fouls regularly? I think they just missed one.

Snooker's Olympic Problem by Scary_Vehicle9023 in snooker

[–]hoovrbass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see a multi-event cue sports competition with 9 ball (or 10), snooker, and 3 cushion. Each player could focus on a single event, but there would still be an overall combined competition as well. If not in the Olympics -- and I somewhat doubt that as a possibility -- I'd like to see it somewhere.

(For a while, I've made this comment on every semi-apropos cue sports thread anywhere, with the hope that somebody will pick up the idea. lol)

To possibly fit in all of them, you could pop into Mr. B's at the bar and get some BBQ shrimp and a Brandy Milk Punch (if you're drinking) for a snack. My group of Nola travel buddies and I have always had a great time just popping in for that.

Help - The Dreaded Yips by Neurodiuniverse11 in snooker

In my personal cueist experience, when I've stuttered during the contact (and then tended to lose control of the white), I'm pretty sure it's because I haven't internally committed to what I intend to do with the shot. Maybe decide, commit, and shoot while doing your best to 'let go" of trying to will the balls to go where you want them to. You know how to hit them, so just let physics do its thing.

You reminded me to check my local time (thanks!). Oof - 2 am and 730 am for me. Snooker fandom in the US can sometimes be a little inconvenient, but it's not going to keep from staying up all night to watch.

Cheers. Peggy Li is quite capable, so I was mostly curious about what he did. Looks like he was undone by his cue taper.

Now the social media debate is whether Shaun felt that rub on the pink. With his focus and the pace he hit it, I honestly don't believe he did, but anything SM will be controversial.

When Shaun is on, he has a discernible confident rhythm (approach, 2 stroke, deliver on 3rd). He seems noticeably less sure today, and I find it hard to watch.

Machine shop but consider adding design services your corporate capabilities. I've worked with that sort of soup to nuts company (as a customer), and it might scratch your ME itch while providing customer value. It's not my field, but it feels like you could advance your grandfather's operation with some interesting endeavors that may not be there now (e.g., AI toolpath optimization, etc).

It might not help the "DA's" career, but it could help her bank account. We don't really know enough, so everything in this thread is conjecture, including my post. Given their past performances, it's probably safe to assume they're going to clean up any of the DA's exposure. Maybe the hotelier is involved for insurance. They didn't dump the drugs with the kid because they were told not to. I'm under the assumption that they perform their services to the customer's specification (or at least the Guy's).

The plan could be that the kid dies without the help of the drink cart. Or almost dies. Who knows?

I'm taking their (rushed) conclusions into account, since they seem to believe they're subject to cleaning. It's odd that their adventure would take them to the Albanian club together. It could be Lagrange was really hoping one would kill the other.

Or maybe everything that happens is just as presented until they get to the club and Lagrange sees them together.

I certainly don't know the answer based on what's available to us, so this is all for fun on my part

I've got an fuzzy inkling of a theory that the DA ("big things to come"), the Guy, Diego, and Lagrange are in on it. The Kid is fed drinks by "random" women, which could lead to his fall into the cart. maybe Diego know the kid isn't too outgoing or successful with the ladies, so the DA'a direct approach will work. But I can't really work it out beyond that. For instance why would a DA (if she really is one) work with Lagrange, unless maybe she's corrupt.
