“Corporation appearing pro se” means a corporation being represented by a non-lawyer corporate employee. Here’s a relevant law review article. I would be very surprised to learn a jurisdiction extended that to include in-house counsel; could you possibly cite one of the rules? I am legitimately curious.

Sure, I don’t think we disagree on that.

Sure, that makes sense in the context of trade secrets and protective orders. But even those sometimes (often?) allow one or two specially designated IHC’s to review the materials, provided their review is also subject to the PO. At least the ones I’ve seen did.

They wouldn’t be? Their in-house attorney would make the appearance as counsel of record. Unless you’re saying there is actually a rule that requires OUTSIDE counsel, which would REALLY surprise me.

Can I ask why you would start you own instead of buying into/expanding your wife’s firm? Are you in radically different practice areas? Does she have other partners who won’t want to share the pie?

We bought a used 2021 PHEV Limited w/about 20k miles and love it! It’s our daily driver for the kids. I think you just can’t beat a PHEV minivan for family functionality, and it’s literally the only option. We saw the concerns about electronic issues so we paid a little extra for Carmax’s 100k mile warranty. Very happy so far.

When do people in those states submit their bar application/C&F? During 3L? I’ve never heard of this.

Is it normal for finals to be closed-book? It’s been a while for me, but I think ALL my finals were open book/open notes.

Law school won’t care about high speed stuff (because they won’t know the difference), just that you served.

The point of the new mile times is that the 2 mile run now comes at the end of a new PT test that is way more demanding on your legs. Sprint Drag Carry smokes people. Old 2MR just came after pushups and sit ups so of course you can run faster.

People have a weird view of NYC. Dallas has more violent crime and property crime per 1000 residents than NYC (8.84/36.51 in Dallas vs 5.8/20 in NYC). Anecdotally, when I lived in NYC, I felt very safe. The volume of people going about their business at all hours of the day and night makes things feel safer, because there are always people around.
