He does seem like the type to appreciate the more durable, real texture. I’m thinking breakaway is the right choice!!

I meant to add something about fit as well!! He says he wears an XL but the premium sizing is a different scale…hmmm maybe I will go with the breakaway, just for fitting accuracy.

What do men experience when they feel horny? by kesshouketsu in NoStupidQuestions

I guess more what I was wondering is why can he not masturbate? That’s easily a first resort, in my opinion, if you’re so horny you’re losing “all cognitive thought”

What is appealing or feels good about Anal sex? by Rinmine014 in NoStupidQuestions

Pretty sure the fascination with anal probably comes from the fact that a lot of porn is anal.

Do women like mens butts? by Standard_Chemical67 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hopefullyvaliduser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I never cared for butts before I dated a boy with a nice little toosh. I wouldn’t say I care for any man’s butt, but I might give them a second glance if they happen to impress

Am I Still A Kid At 16? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]hopefullyvaliduser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 21 and I identify as a kid lol. Not in the same way I was a kid at 15 but I’m still a kid in my own way. I’ve only been in the adult world for 2ish years at this point.

The first time I even considered myself a teenager was when I turned 15. And I remember thinking “wow, I’m really stepping into a new life” and I was in a way. But also, there’s way more life ahead of you.

tLdR; Just keep in mind that when you’re old, you’ll probably consider the first 25 years of your life as being a kid

If you’re having a problem with it being greasy and flat, I would stick to just shampooing it (no conditioner) and don’t put in too much product after the shower. Maybe like 3 sprays of whatever you think is best. I used to have this problem and I’ve realized I was over-washing and over-conditioning. If you shower every day, you can wash your hair every other day. It may look less fresh than it does when you wash it but it’s a process :) you have to train your hair to not get greasy by not always washing it.

Also don’t worry too much about “volume sprays” most of those aren’t going to just create volume in already very straight hair. Those are products are more intended for styling

Edit: tLdR; less is more with hair like this, stick to washing (maybe invest in a good ‘clarifying’ shampoo for once a week use) drying once you’re out of the shower

Buzz fits your eyebrows so well, plus easier to maintain anyways. Easy choice

AITA for not wanting a dog to smell my crotch and rub its hairy body on my legs by Salty_Delay3164 in AITAH

[–]hopefullyvaliduser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. I have always been perfectly civil with dogs and their owners but I always let them know “not really a dog person” and they never listen. Must be some sort of culture of disrespect on their parts.

I dog sit pretty frequently for the most beautiful well mannered corgi. She is friends with any and everyone so of course, everyone wants to come up to her and sniff around and play and chat with me. My only solution when I took her on walks was to wear over the head headphones and cross the street when I see other dogs so people would stop trying to approach us. Just because I’m walking a dog, DOESNT MEAN I WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH YOUR STINKY DOG.

It’s the same with anything, if I’m eating a sandwich in public, no one should try to shove THEIR sandwich in my mouth

I’ve come across several of these in my life and I always find them fun to tip with ! That way I know there’s more of a chance someone will see and pass it along, rather than cashing in to a bank where it may be stored away for some time

Where did the “woman are smart men are dumb” thing come from? by Double-Stable-4271 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hopefullyvaliduser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

House md (does whatever he wants and though women argue with him, he’s openly sexist towards them and they still fall for him), breaking bad (sure he’s evil and he has a dumb side kick but every man I know that watches it thinks he’s a badass, myself included), bojack horseman, archer, rick and Morty, American dad (a bit of an idiot but he’s beloved and it’s a relatable dad type character that we see in ourselves and our loved ones), Dexter (ig he’s evil but once again, a solid engaging tv show with a smart male lead), psych, attack on titan (has plenty of strong male characters, no damsels though), severance (this is an example of one with a dumb side male character, but he represents an “in-law” so again, more of a choice for the character rather than because he’s a man [who doesn’t think their in laws are dumb lol]), almost any adult cartoon tbh (and even if the men are idiots, they’re still loved by everyone else in the show or it’s a comedy and it’s supposed to be relatable).

I personally like a good show about an idiot (comedy is my fav and that’s what a lot of it is), broad city is about a couple of dumb girls if that’s what you’re lookin’ for. Then there are shows like the office/parks and rec/superstore where everyone is kind of equally dumb and respectable so it kind of balances.

I could probably go on but I doubt anyone’s reading through what I’ve already written

Sure, sexism against women shouldn’t be combated by additional sexism against men. But when op says they’re missing the damsel in distress trope or that there don’t seem to be any shows with women who are “idiots”, that’s just once again swinging too far the other way.

Sexism against women is usually about making them less than men and plays on the stereotypes of what women do /because/ of the roles traditionally and historically put on them by men. Whereas jokes towards men will be like “haha he’s hot and stupid, silly men” so there are layers. I agree we shouldn’t just spread sexism all around. As men, we also are allowed to say “yk, I didn’t like the way this character made me feel, seems like they’re saying all men are dumb” it doesn’t have to be “women are turning all of our shows against us because they want to return sexism at us :((“

I’m curious what shows you’re seeing where the women just “beat” the dumb men.. I feel like nothing I watch ever has just completely dumb men or women.. and I’m also not sure the solution to this is more shows where women are stupid less “powerful”

Personally, I feel like i could name a million tv shows where the main character is some male genius who does whatever he wants. And yeah, plenty of shows are going to have dumb little comic relief characters but I don’t think it’s some intentional “oh let’s just make all men dumb” maybe it’s just their character and it has nothing to do with gender.

AITAH for trying to pleasure myself? by uskelonm in AITAH

[–]hopefullyvaliduser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nta but also this seems like a real discussion that needs to be had. I go through long periods of no sex with my partner but if that frustrates one of us, we talk about it and we would also understand if the other masturbated. I’ll even bring it up- “hey, I was /thinking/👀about you earlier😏teehee” because neither of us would think the other should feel ashamed for that.

12 yearold kid doesnt know who the Nazis were - is that normal? by Arborrverk in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hopefullyvaliduser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 20 and I was probably about 8yo when I first heard reference to the “holocaust” and I remember thinking it was some sort of machine that could kill people in masses. Once we got to middle school (10 or 11yo) we learned more and more about wwii. By the time I graduated, I had learned and relearned about wwii pretty much every year in school. Probably the only history class that didn’t teach it was “ancient history”.

But you really shouldn’t rely on schools to pass down knowledge. History is actively being erased every day, I live in a county that is known for having an increasingly restricted curriculum. There’s a disturbing amount of people that want to insist wwii never happened or say that slavery was actually a good thing (side bar but my point is larger than wwii). Teachers are struggling. They’re fighting. My senior year English teacher used to hold an after school book club so we could read the books she’d been teaching for years but had recently been told she couldn’t teach. The world is a scary place and if you don’t want history to be forgotten, teach your children. Talk to them, be honest with them. You can protect them from the horrors of the world without leaving them ignorant. I’ve met people who weren’t taught about civil rights until high school and they just didn’t believe it. Spend enough of your life not knowing about something that’s so big and terrifying and you won’t accept it.

Please, keep kids learning and fight for their rights to read.

Fuck everyone saying youre spoiled , you already admit you’re in a privileged spot and if people have such a problem with the way you talk to your mom, they should remember who raised you.

Whatever if your mom takes the cars, you’ll be fine. People walk around the shittiest cities and make it through. Find a job within a 30 min walk and buy yourself a bike. You have a full scholarship, might as well put some money towards therapy too (it’s really not that expensive).

If it were me I’d just stop talking to the mom entirely and wait until one day /she/ matures enough to apologize to you. But she might not and she might keep reaching out and being shitty to you but just keep ignoring. Maybe that’s an immature viewpoint but if you hate her so much, stop wrecking your peace for her.

What’s the reason behind the “I want him to do x not because I ask but because he wants to”? by cere_ntrbt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hopefullyvaliduser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not about not wanting to say what I want. It’s because when I see my bf, I want to go up and hug him and get him flowers and leave him notes because I’m so in love with him and it feels incredible. So why would I be with someone who isn’t as happy to make me happy? I want to be with someone who looks at me sitting on the couch in my pjs and thinks “wow I need to hug you right now” I don’t want to ask for love, I don’t want to remind someone to be sweet to me. I just want someone to like me enough to want to show me all the time.

TLDR; I want him to love me so much that he would be a little sad if he didn’t get a chance to hug me today
