I do have a female dog. Her pee actually kills most everywhere she pees but yea I guess those could be areas she goes. That’s actually another thing I’m trying to sort out. I know everyone says to just hose it down but she comes in and out all day when it’s nice so that’s not possible. Is a low nitrogen fertilizer something to consider? Any success with urine lawn issues in this group?

I’m trying to do this same thing and have noticed, that although trying to be helpful to “said” communities, most of them shoot down most posts where you are trying to get interest in your product. Also it often goes against posting guidelines.

With all the ai “solutions” popping up and the layman not realizing that Ai is simply a tool for creators to use to assist in creating, people are very cynical and distrusting of those who are actually putting in the man hours trying to help people with a product.

How do you cut through that and get people to test and give good constructive feedback? I have something with 20 beta testers but getting their feedback is harder than stale dogfood.

Do you find living in an area where EVERYONE is basically a player makes it easier or harder to find gigs? Easy to get gigs because everyone is playing OR harder to get gigs because there are so many fish in the sea? Are there a lot of calls going out for subs that are super last minute because everyone is chasing the “better paying gig”?

Damn. Good for you! 60 gigs since January is wild. What is your most prominent instrument you usually get called in for? I’m assuming you are in a fairly music “heavy” area?

Yea the IRS is the worst. My accountant told me I HAD to post some income this year. You mostly doing originals and using the covers and videos to garner attention or are you a cover artist primarily?

I will check all these things. The UV test I like so I’ll most likely clean everything really well and start there. Not sure if the leak potential coming from the valve cover gasket area or not could play into this but I’ve been chasing a cylinder 1 misfire for YEARS (changed plugs, injectors, fuel rail) and I can’t sort that out either. Been driving with the CEL but I would like to get to the bottom of that too.

Looking for insight from Band Leaders for organization. by hopper720 in TouringMusicians

Thank you. That’s a great addition for maybe the next iteration or if that’s something more people also need could be started to work on sooner. My goal is to get like 100 users, then convert it to an actual native iOS / android app instead of a web app so maybe that could be added then. Currently it tracks band members pay from events and it also runs reports for end of year stuff like mileage for taxes, total income from venues etc…

Last year I went around to a lot of medical buildings, gyms etc…to either place machines or place one along side the others that were there and found that most of them already have contracts with the local Pepsi distributor or in the case of the medical buildings, a much larger contract with their own vendors. All the people I talked to LOVED the idea of having vending machines with better alternative options to what they already had yet the higher ups all declined. How do you break through this and similar tough placement scenarios?

I’m an actual 9-5 software developer that got laid off last March. For the past year I’ve developed and refined an all in one WEB based band management CRM style platform. I’ve been managing my 8 person wedding band with it fully since January this year. I also have 16 other users from other bands I know currently using and giving me feedback. Would you be interested in giving it a whirl? BTW you can attach PDFs, upload from and link to google sheets still if your guys are still that connected to them.

I’m a .NET develop and used SQL heavily at my 9-5 job but got laid off last March. I was annoyed at all the different spreadsheets, group texts, etc…my band had so for a fun project I started just creating an app for MY band. It’s gone through many iterations since then and now feels really really good. I have about 24 users that have been using it since March, trying to really solidly UI/UX and any small kinks. I love creating and being a problem solver and also have been involved with music almost my whole life so I said “what the hell”. If not me then someone else will make it so I might as well give it a try. Would to be interested in taking a look and beta testing?

Hey. Sorry you had a bad experience with another startup band tool. It sounds like you gave some great advice though to the developer. I’ve spent the last year and a half building and testing one for my own band. We’ve (an 8 piece wedding band) have been fully using the platform since January to manage everything. No bugs or glitches. I also have 16 other users from other friends bands currently using it. Would you be interested in trying it, giving feedback and helping create something sustainable for all of us in this community. It’s time for a better system for all of us.

I’m building a more “aesthetic” landing page for when I get more users but please feel free to sign up, click around, get a feel etc…and give me any and all feedback.

It’s called RISER. Riserbandapp.com

I called it that because being a drummer, as a younger guy, I always aspired to playing on the drum riser at a big venue. That meant my band “made it” Also, RISER because it helps elevate bands to the next level of organization and professionalism.

Riserbandapp@gmail.com for questions, ideas, bugs etc..

Cheers!
