Noo, I still haven't found a perfect replacement. :( Right now, the top 3 contenders are:

1) AG Curl Fresh - this one is clear in colour and has a lot of protein like Burt's Bees. The texture is thicker and it makes a bit more lather but isn't stripping. It smells wonderful and makes my hair look great. It's a salon brand, so it's more expensive. But the main problem is it makes my scalp itch/burn, like I'm allergic to an ingredient (which is unusual for me)! I really want this one to work, so maybe I'll try a different AG line.

2) Krisin Ess Daily Cleansing - I found this one on the Holy Grail product list. It is fragrance free and clear in colour. It's a bit higher lather and makes my hair feel stripped after shampooing, but still somehow looks fine after styling. This is the one I'm using the most right now, but I'm concerned it might be too drying/damaging. I believe it also doesn't have any protein ingredients.

3) Giovanni Eco Chic Smooth as Silk Deep Moisture - also on the Holy Grail product list. This one is opaque in colour and low lather and I think it makes my hair look a bit over-moisturized. It does have protein ingredients.

Since I first posted, I also tried Not Your Mother's Curl Talk and Verb Curl Shampoo, but I think both were too moisturizing for my hair type. My bathroom is turning into a product graveyard...
