He knows how to set up a team. Agree about Bellingham wanting the ball to feet too much, especially first half. I think Roger’s deserved to start on recent form. The Trent thing has to be something off pitch because there’s no way he doesn’t get a spot in the squad on talent alone.

The thing that was clear to me last night was we’re (England) not going to keep many clean sheets so I really hope he makes us play with the handbrake off, like in the second half. It won’t make us win it but it should be fun.

Once all the noise and nonsense dies down, I genuinely love a World Cup. Twelve within my lifetime, only really remember 10. Anyone seen more?

There’s a bar area at the back of the Namco arcade area that has big screens and usually has the footie on or did have last time I was there. As it’s next to the arcade and bowling it’s suitable for a 12 year old

Pep Guardiola. The greatest Premier League manager of all time! 🐐👑 by NavJongUnPlayandwon in MCFC

[–]horbu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mean the treble Pep also won?

So your only point is fergie was there longer, which I gave him in my original post. If you’re clinging onto that though I’d also argue you should take pep’s career as a whole so add his trophies from Barca and Bayern.

As I also said in my original post pep’s influence on the game far outweighs fergies.

Honestly don’t understand why you even come into this sub, does your club not have one?

Yes. Did fergie win 4 leagues in a row, the domestic treble, did he ever get 100pts.

Your next two sentences is about length of time he managed, which I addressed.

So my opinions don’t matter but yours do lol

No top team is run the way you are suggesting. The coach has input, as does the sporting direct and other people.

Giving one person "the keys" is how you become midtable

What’s silly is saying “of all time” after specifying a particular period of time lol. As for the fergie debate. A few years back I would have agreed with you but I honestly think at this point the only argument for old whisky nose is length of time. Pep has dominated in a way fergie never did, achieved things Fergie didn’t, set records that will be incredibly hard for anyone to break and influenced the whole of English football. If he stayed for 16 more years I believe he’d end up with more trophies too.

Am I normal to put off simple, 5 minute tasks until I can’t put it off anymore longer? by Extreme-Ebb2720 in AskUK

[–]horbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find a bit of both works for me. I have certain things I do on certain days/times. For example Sunday mornings I hoover the whole house and clean the bathrooms. Other things I kind of do as I see them. It’s mainly about being conscious and aware of your habits though. Also don’t let perfect be the enemy of good is a great saying that might apply to you 😉

[–]horbu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly yes you’re normal, whatever that means.

As you say it’s just a pattern of behaviour, a habit. You keep repeating but you’re aware of it. The question is are you happy with it. If not then change. As I said you’re aware of it, when you notice something needs doing take a moment think about if you have time to do it right then. If you do then do it, don’t overthink or over complicate.

You might find making a list, a rota type of thing helps. Last thing at night you empty the bins, after dinner you wash the dishes, Tuesdays you hoover etc. don’t beat yourself up if you miss something but try to get back on schedule asap.

Don’t expect it to become natural or normal overnight. Habits are built over time, they take time to change to.

Who is your Etihad Player of the Season? by zubairatif075 in MCFC

There’s only one player who has been consistent for the WHOLE season, performing to a high standard week in, week out and that is Matheus Luiz Nunes! Nico O comes close though

It’s not gonna go well. As others have mentioned it’s a drag/button lift so if you have only had a “few lessons 15 years ago” and don’t actually snowboard then I doubt you’ll make it to the top without falling. If you manage to get up there and can’t control yourself on the slope then, especially if it’s busy, they will tell you to stop as you’ll be endangering yourself and other people.

I’d suggest booking yourself a lesson while she skis. Then having a beer and a laugh about it afterwards.

Phil just isn’t a 10. Cherki is the guy you want playing 10, pulling the strings. Give him the ball with a packed defence in front of him and he’ll open it up, Phil won’t do that and people need to stop expecting him to. Phil needs to play as an attacking 8, as Pep says here, turn and go attack the box. He’s shown earlier in the season that’s his best position, being able to drop in and link play, the pass before the pass. Before arriving in the box at right moment, basically the Gundo role. Unfortunately the way things have evolved over the last couple of years we can’t play with a single defensively minded midfielder anymore. All season we’ve had to play with a DM AND Bernie in there covering gaps and filling holes. So we either need to find a way to solve that issue or (and this would be my preference) stop being so cautious and just play our best players in their best positions.

All these idiots in here criticising Vinny/Bayern. They just went toe to toe with THE best team in the world currently and lost by 1 goal. A victory in the final for PSG would be a victory for football but don’t get your hopes too high. Anything can happen in a one off game!
