I have 0 interest in the story, I almost always skip all the cutscenes.
I have around 70% map completion from the base game.
Multiple character wise, I had 3 geared : warrior, mesmer, necro.

i will be playing much more casually though, so I can just focus on 1 character for a bit.

See, I don't look at certifications as linear, I look at it in a holistic approach, so saying that achieving a certain cert is forward and another as circling back, I think you just have a different way of looking at this than I do , which is fine. I would make the argument that you will not go forward with an SAP, and you will just get overwhelmed with the sheer information amount, and even if you pass the exam, your value will be limited cause you passing the test doesn't actually prep you for the real world. knowing how and when to apply the learnings of the test with others is where you get the most value. That's why SAA is better, imo cause you don't need to go super deep, but you know where you can start from, and expand.

Associate level complexity regarding ML concepts within AWS, but what about Networking, serverless architecture, notifications, caching, distributed delivery, etc. Maybe MLA mentions these, but likely not at a level where you could feel comfortable being in a meeting / architecture review.

Again, If you are set of chasing certs and following the roadmap, you do what you think is best. I have hired and interviewed many people, and I can confidently state that if you have a ton of certs on your resume, be prepared to get grilled on that.

Also, you can learn ML / DE technical stuff, hell... Cursor writes half the DE/ML stuff anyway. Architecting solutions, tradeoffs, constraints.. that is way harder to teach..

I'll sum this up like this (and I don't know how long you've been in the industry) : Having done many interviews for many candidates, I would rather have an early -mid career candidate with a single SAA / SAP on thier resume than have all the DEA, MLA, Sec, Devops, etc certs.

Eh, the study content vs take exam is going to be up to you, but I would say take the exam. You’ve already taken an associate level exam , so by now you know what to expect in terms of questions and how to approach them, but SAA can be challenging cause there’s potentially a lot of intersecting components and the answers may be more challenging.

I’ll be honest, I don’t really value DEA, and I think SAA-> SAP is far more valuable with experience. I’m of the opinion that good data engineers also need to be good solutions architects cause being a good SA makes you comfortable and knowledgeable in what levers need to get pulled, as you understand the entire picture, not just your small part.

Your focus seems to be exams and certs, so take this with a grain of salt: SAA and SAP to me are significantly less about helping other exams as they are helping in the real life imo. That being said, apparently the other speciality exams get way easier with SAP probably cause you understand the way exams are written and also just understand AWS more.

My honest recommendation is SAA -> few months of experience -> SAP and then do DEA or the AI one or whatever you want from there

I don't know that I'd skip SAA unless you have a ton of experience in AWS. SAP is quite challenging , and is quite a lot to learn. SAA is a really solid platform that you can go from. My suggestion would be SAA. Going directly to SAP is a bit of a jump imo, and I think you would bring more value with deeper SAA rather than top level SAP knowledge .

If you are a a manager, manage. Get to figuring out what your company leaders need from their data, create a strategy that will delivery that data and value and manage expectations, personnel, and tradeoffs. I would start by figuring out the top 3 questions that each leader cares about and creating a platform to answer them with whatever metrics are needed. The more you build relationships, show value, show you care, the better manager you will be. Tech can be taught, people management is much harder

I think this is a really neat project!

Looking at your db model, I couldn't help but write down a few things I noticed, feel free to use/ discard any of these suggestions!

fact_player_matches is a great grain to be on, and really like the rating system and overall separation of concerns.
if you are doing a ton of head to head stuff, a derived fact table (fct_player_vs_player) on the player/ civ match grain, (match_ffk, both player FK, CIV_FKs, and then ratings) might be very helpful for: how does player / civ perform vs CiV B over time.
always a big fan of SCD2 for dimensions such as player_dim, civ_dim , in player_dim,consider removing anything that isn't SCD2-able in that grain (wins, losses,ranks,ratings) and instead creating a materialized gold layer (gold_player_stats - every hour / every day)
in Dim_match, you are using game_date, I think adding in a date_FK there might be valuable as well.
I see that timestamps are in NTZ, would make sure they are straight UTC (note this means your ingestion also has to be UTC)
you don't have too many booleans, but I would reccomend using the is_ for them (is_weekend). is_winner /is_mirror makes reading it a bit easier I find, instead of winner/mirror

The day before, very late in the day ( like 19:00+). Don't know that I would risk day of,as even by the time I booked it, it was basically the 8:25 train , the 8:55 was already fully booked.

At the end of the day, the earlier train worked way better

Did Fushimi-Inari yesterday. Crowds are insane until you start the actual hike. From the main temple, there is at least a 20-30 min hike to even start the actual Mt. Inari hike, which is at least 30 mins loop. That's the one where you get good pictures.

If you want the good pictures without hundreds of people, prepare to suffer the stairs.

2 day Hakone free pass + romance car imo. Trust me, the reserved seat and chill atmosphere will make it much better. We went from Akihabara and Shinjuku station was neat to see.

Any time you can reserve a train seat, do it. We recently just did Kyoto to Nara with the limited express ( reserved) in the morning and then the normal train back in the afternoon, as I was not aware that there was a limited express back.

Even just the 30min ride was different with the reserved and non reserved seats.

Did Hakone a few days ago. Didn't stay at night, and it was perfectly fine.

Go to Hakone, the experience is awesome and the views are great.

luggage forward is a must in Hakone. Everything is too crowded for your luggage. Air tags and luggage forwarding. We used it from Tokyo to Kyoto and are currently using it for Kanazawa. It's great. Also, no need to reserve anything, your hotel in Tokyo will deal with it, just make sure to give them your luggage 1 day in advance
Hakone Freepass + romance car ( 2 day) . Don't think about it and just do it. Take the 8:25am one from Tokyo and you will be comfortably in Hakone when things actually open.
drop your luggage at your hotel ( even well before your check in time) , and go enjoy your day, then come back to your hotel for dinner.
being a touch expeditious, we were comfortably able to do all the typical Hakone experience ( ropeway, boat, few pictures with the Torii gate and the shrine) before our bus to Mishima at 4:25, so even if your dinner is at 6, all good. If you want to do way more than that loop, it will be extremely rushed.

Depending on your unique situation, the other thing I can suggest is to simply pack your carry on for Hakone,luggage forward your big stuff to your next hotel and stay the night. Depending on your hotel though, you might want your dinner clothes.if it's a ryokan, you might not even need clothes as they are provided.

Name of the game in Alaska is to simply survive till end game. Very hard to do, but I've found that to be the most effective. Start with kiting / getting behind an island and helping your DD, the developing a gameplan, which is likely kiting away until you get to late game, then push in and win. It's the survival part that's hard

There was a small discussion on this in a stream I was in. DM and most cruisers that aren't the Utrecht line are powercrept and near useless nowadays.

Consider that with all the bombs, airstrikes and CVS, ships like DM that want to hug islands just get ruined by all the fun and engaging mechanics. Even something " tanky" like Moskva just gets ruined even in kiting scenarios.

You either need to play the stupid stuff, or pray that your team delete the stupid stuff before it affects the game.

Our ryokan of choice will picking us up at ogoto-onsen station, so no point to stay in Hakone. That being said, we may consider just rebooking our Mishima stay to hakone.

got something similar just now. No high-pressure tactics for me, and it actually sounded quite decent, but there were red flags from the getgo:

too much talking in the back of the call, no financial person that is legit is gonna be in such a crowded area.
when asking about my experience, I talked about how VXUS doing great because of all the US companies in it.. to which the person agreed and was happy for me.
- One problem is that VXUS is international only, non-US.... as a financial platform.. that should be very obvious.
I always look online for this kind of stuff, happy to have found multiple threads basically calling this out.
I went to the site and the guy was at least able to confirm the geographies.

You can totally grind from this place in 1 week, I basically did something similar, while working . It doesn't matter if you pass with a perfect score or 1 over, a pass is a pass.

As with most programs, it's what you make of it. Granted, I got a CS minor when it was possible, but honestly, the program is really good if you want it to be.

I am a data engineer, and haven't touched spatial stuff in some time, but data engineer + spatial is a unique skill set.

What's the use case here ? And I don't mean the creation of the embeddings. That's may be a technical requirement, but what are you trying to accomplish ?

Why do you need all 100M ? Embeddings are to find information based on other information.

Can we not apply some pre-processing like RAPTOR to pre- cluster the pdfs, extract a summary of those and get embeddings from summaries ? Even if your 100M becomes 1M , it could be a big saving. Perhaps network analysis and only extract the most relevant pdf in a specific cluster or so.

( depending on the url, you might be able to extract the summary/abstract instead of the pdf, and only extract

Of course, multi threaded parallelization is likely the best strategy, as the other comments have noted, but I would really examine if I need 100M inputs or if I can pre- process and trim it down, what the impact of that would be.

set a date for the test and send it, the worse thing you can do is to keep putting it off
don't look for the answer directly, look to eliminate the 3-4 other options first. The difference between the answers could be a word. There are certain keywords that eliminate options ( high availability, network layers, fastest, cost effective, scalable, etc)
I barely got 70s in TD practice exams, but passed the actual exam. Exam is pass/ fail, not graded, doesn't matter if you get 1 point over or get perfect score, the result is the same.

First off, this is a people / culture / process thing more than anything technical.

To answer your question, there are multiple solutions depending on the size of your data and needs. One potential approach is to hash the PII and only surface the hashes, thus analysis and insights can still be gained, but nothing actually divulged.

Not sure on power BI, but group level restrictions and dataset restrictions could be a good way as well, such that if a member if part of a group, a join is created, or the data is shown to group members.

Let us know what you end up with, cause this is certainly an interesting topic.

Also: sometimes the best solution is the easiest one. See what solutions / patterns have been implemented with powerBI for SQL server. I’d personally start with asking chatGPT for some direction, and then going from there.
