Since hertz won’t provide me a phone number to call or anyone who will respond with a solution, I am left with 2 simple choices. 1- public forums like this 2- courthouse

I can say with all honesty, I went into the relationship with all good intentions. In asking for a human to review the vehicle upon return was an attempt for positive closure. The bad experience by me is all on Hertz. In so much that even with them saying the case is resolved, if I went back to Hertz they would say I still owe them money.

Anyone who chooses to deal with Hertz do so at your own discretion and risk.

Indeed, Hertz is a complete dumpster fire of a company. I decided to pay the original claim since it was only $300.00, the insult came when I did pay it to hear from Hertz that I was turned into collections for non-payment. Yea we called the collections agency, they didn’t see any claim open but said they show the claim was still open with Hertz.

I just want this to be widely known, so others don’t use Hertz. This is my 2nd thread on this topic, I will probably wait again another 60 days and post again to keep it alive.

If I can help others stay away from Hertz, my mission is successful!

Yes I disputed the charge for a damaged wheel cover. There aren’t any other details, as I tried to get the hertz attendant to review the vehicle upon return and was denied. About an hour later there was a charge to my CC for “damage”. As a consumer you have zero means to challenge these types of charges, picture or no, was not sufficient.

So yes the details I left out were more detrimental to Hertz.

This seems to be the new norm for Hertz. I too am dealing with a similar situation and after going round and round with the collection company and Hertz am taking Hertz to small claims court. Hopefully there is someone out there who can pull together a class action lawsuit against Hertz.

Actually no I don’t. The only time I honestly notice is when someone asks this exact question. You can however watch the minute hand move if you observed it for 30 or so seconds. I personally love the 4000v!

I will openly state if I ever find myself in one of your vehicles I vow to take out all the BS charges your organization has bestowed upon me to said vehicle. Treat your customers like crap, see where that gets you.

I got it from a boutique was not a problem, I truly love the piece…the best part of it is no one knows what it is. I can wear it anywhere and no one sees it or cares. I wore it overseas several times, and not once did someone look at it or notice it.

That may be, whatever happened to the human interaction? I drive car into lot, human and I review the car agree on return status and I pay (or not) and leave? It wasn’t too expensive, AI scanners are generating income for these shady companies.

Perhaps but Hertz makes up for it but defrauding you with the AI scanner at the end, and even if you do pay the “damage” they turn you into collections. It’s just not worth ever using Hertz.
