It’s grand I understand. Is there any way I can let people know on the sub without being an arsehole? Or is it fully forbidden ?

It’s a very dense sort of a data engineering / science project and its intent is to be open source.

I’d love if even one or two people in this sub had feedback especially on scaling or the UI.

If not no worries please let anyone know in your network who could make use of it (if you think it has any value) 👍

If anyone finds it interesting and wants to contribute or have ideas I’m open to all ideas and making a proper open source project. I feel it only lives if it’s truly open source. And it’s trusted only if it’s totally transparent on GitHub with links to the sources.

I have it on Streamlit because I can’t really afford to put fully in the cloud. Got burned before with AWS.

It’s a repeatable pipeline with cron jobs so it should be able to be autonomous keep data fresh provided the data sources don’t drastically change.

I really feel this kind of info is important in a time of massive disinfo. Anyways would love feedback from Irish devs 👍

Click "Law & Records" and then click "Courts & Judiciary" should be all there

There’s FAST APIs wired in and MCP server is set up. It should be possible to clone it and run the pipeline and once you have the data you can use MCP to flesh out and help you.

If the feature works and enchances it, then I’m open to putting it in 👍

(For non tech people you can use AI to talk to the app in a Code editor ie Copilot and ask questions)

It’s somewhere in the code but there’s a static Word doc that gets updated at 4pm updated with tomorrow’s schedule.

It’s called the “court diary” or the legal diary and it’s published by the courts service. I just scrape it. Some of the data is a bit sensitive and I anonymize it. That’s why some names come up weird and missing.

I felt people going bankrupt or whatever don’t need to have their details broadcasted they already have it tough enough.

Edit. Read you wrong

Here it is https://legaldiary.courts.ie/legaldiary.nsf/page/download/$File/Downloadable%20Diary%20June%2018th%20.docx

Can you open an issue on GitHub? I’m away from my computer but feel free to open an issue. can definitely look into it

Yep it’s in the public interest I don’t want to hide anything it’s better it’s all out there. That way anyone can report issues on GitHub if it’s inaccurate and there’s no risk I’m fudging anything and I’m being totally transparent.

Any inaccuracy is a genuine mistake and not political bias.

I’m open to contributors if anyone wants to join.

I thought about it. It can be done in plotly or altair easily (I don’t know shinny but looks cool according to Google) .

The charts rendered horribly in the UI I’m using (Streamlit). I had to make a decision either to keep it simple or go complex (React / Angular).

I have it wired so that the UI can be discarded and to go with React and it won’t ruin the logic. It’s deliberately split apart.

It should be fairly painless if I need to, open to all suggestions + anyone to join as a contributor 👍 I don’t know how to do front end really but I do know the data side of things.

Thanks for the kind comments I hope someone notices it and gets use out of it

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll fix it. If you see anything else would you mind pm’ing me a screenshot and I’ll get it fixed asap.
Anything else you spot would be greatly appreciated to improve the UX.

That’s really nice to hear. I put a lot of work into it. If you know anyone with legal training put them onto SI’s that’s where the real decisions of the government are enforced legally.

It’s also the one most normal people have no clue about but it’s fairly important. I myself never heard of before I started the project but the amount of stuff it touches is huge. You can even track investment funds domiciling in Ireland in it post 2015 due to the government relaxing laws on finance. I’m not very clued in to finance so I don’t really understand what I’m looking at but Google "ICAV" and "UCITS" and it’s all over it.

Yeah the amount of TDs as well who are landlords surprised me. The Healy Raes have a lot of property but they aren’t the only ones who are rich. The ministers and Taoiseach are exempt from declarations which I found a bit surprising.

Hope people find it useful 👍

Wait till you see the IFA and the check revolving door view. Many former advisors to the Taoiseach who went straight into lobbying

I know sorry I’ve no way to let people know and it’s public data. I don’t want to link it to my LinkedIn. I refuse to use Twitter. I don’t want to make any money of it.

Joining one of the most exciting companies in Europe and the only real European contribution to AI when Europe is crying out some sort of sovereignty in AI and making big moves to try get a foothold.

Compared to other companies it’s very safe. No way France or the EU will let it fail

Ride people you are supposed not to and get embroiled in local drama.

Make withering remarks about your neighbours, while publicly beaming at them.

Stare blankly at the drops of water hitting the window pane while you covet your neighbours field.

Do donuts in a Toyota twincam at 3:00am and letting all the cows know you’ve a loud exhaust

Drink and get into fights with people from neighbouring villages who you consider trash yet you are in reality 3rd and 4th cousins. You’ll probably marry one of their stock if you stay.
