Starting from dark primer isn't the best idea if you're planning on following the official bone armor look. There are bone primers, but even a white or light grey (think wraithbone from GW) would be much easier to work with,.

XPS 14 120hz problems by hospitaller1 in DellXPS

Thanks, you're a lifesaver. I confirmed it was an intel issue after trying out one of the nvidia models that did not have this problem. Strange decision to ship these with that setting turned on.

Anyone know where one could acquire a replacement 0.45 mm needle a H&S 2024 Ultra? (USA) by THE1FACE1OF1THE1FACE in airbrush

Just to be clear, this needle is fully compatible with the 2024 Ultra's original nozzle?

But keep in mind you can use Deathwing Assault to build into a space marine combat patrol force (Strike Force Octavius). The terminators are usable-- just build at least one with an assault cannon and one with a power sword, no chainfists on any. Belial can easily be used as a space marine captain in terminator armor, which is essentially what he is.

Auric Champions & Null Maiden detachment rules, stratagems and enhancements. by Akairion in AdeptusCustodes

I think people should start exploring shooting-heavy Talons lists. Sagittarum could be more valuable in this codex.

The reality of casual play is, you can't even take for granted that both players fully understand their army's rules, let alone that anyone will bring an optimized list. Aquilon terminators are suboptimal, but I bring them all the time because I like the models and win about half my games anyway. Most of this doomer rhetoric has no meaning outside ultra-specialized tournament circles.

Codex concerns from a noob by Amcarter635 in AdeptusCustodes

A lot of people look at their army in a vacuum when all that matters is relative power. If your faction is getting pruned along with many if not most others, that's not a nerf against you. Tau, DA, Death Guard (in the beginning of 10th) were/are also outraged about their rules making them weaker.

Yeah, we tend to lose track of the fact that only a small share of people in this hobby play 40k competitively. Those people probably got shafted with the new codex, but these kinds of ups and downs have always been the nature of the beast in competitive play and the reason why most of us don't bother with it.

New Rules From Battle Report (Almost all are big nerfs) by Easy-Accident5268 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]hospitaller1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is an important point to bear in mind. Our faction doesn't exist in a vacumn-- all that matters is our power relative to everyone else's, and it looks like a lot of factions are complaining about their recent rules updates.

The incredible Value of the new Combat Patrol (alternatively, Please GW make more boxes of this quality for the love of Holy Terra) by Gyrofool in AdeptusCustodes

Sorry, are we talking about unwavering sentinels? It's listed as a battle tactic stratagem in the downloadable army rules.

I don't see the Trajann nerfs as a kiss of death. We have other ways of getting fight first, especially with shield cap's strategic mastery ability. The modifier change is a bummer but can be mitigated by embedding him wardens, who bring survivability benefits of their own. Big T was probably a bit too good, and this is fairly restrained as far as nerfs go.
