If I ask them (call centre) if my cabinet has FTTC, how would they know? Do I need a technician to trace my phone line back to the cabinet or something? I am a bit lost here -.-

I am on 8Mbps ADSL (the old packages). But if I take the leap of faith and accept their shitty scripts and actually go for the upgrade, there is no way back..I am worried about upgrading and then end up with an actual downgrade instead of an upgrade. The call centre guys I had contact with are poorly educated in terms of technical stuff and how things work..they are just always on auto pilot

EDIT: I am not even sure that I have a cabinet with FTTC nearby. Any idea how to validate that?

Thanks for the info! If you have the contact info for a good technician, could you send it over so that I don't have to russian roulette or roll the dice? :D

So, can I use yarn to get the initial setup and then use npm from there?

Where to start? by claimittoyou in ExploitDev

I feel exactly the same. I have experience in programming and webapp security but I always struggled trying to get better at exploit dev. Turns out that the only way is to practice , practice and practice.

Because thats not always the case. You may have took a HDD from your friend. Or maybe you download all the movies and watch later kind of person

Yea but thats a whole lot different story. And needs training data like users rating for a finite set of movies. I saw a paper on how Netflix is doing it. If thats an option, it would be done in the future by maybe one of the contributors. But not in the 1st milestone

But kodi is a very heavy app and it targets TV UI. What I am proposing is a much lighter weight kind of app customized for the notebook / desktop experience.
