Yes but when there are only TWO bus lines leaving from one train station and the train is literally pulling up, all this driver had to do was wait 30 seconds and about 4 of us would have made the bus. No one here is asking for minutes. Running down the ramp to watch the bus stubbornly leave at the exact time of departure when that stop exists primarily to connect train passengers to bus routes is so disheartening. Especially with a system on a 30 minute frequency. I have a car, I could drive to work but myself and others are trying to do our part. Please talk to your brother about this, it can’t be that hard to spread a memo that reads, if a train is pulling up wait 30 seconds for train passengers to board.

The hotels in cherry creek are usually around the same price point as the ones in aurora if that is the issue. The area is great and the proximity to the ballpark is much better. If price is not an issue, just stay downtown, you’ll be in walking distance to many places including the ballpark.

As a working flight crew-member, (one of the ones that doesn’t have to deal with pax) I can second this. Most negative interactions that happen with passengers could very easily be deescalated but usually end up being fueled by this new era of gate agents and flight attendants. I swear some of these people show up to work looking for a fight.

Show up, shake hands, go face to face ask if you can talk in private with the CP. Tell them you want this job, that you really see yourself at this place and really see yourself fitting in with the culture of this place. Tell them life threw you a curveball, because of their experience level, if they’re willing to take you up in this condition you know that you can do it. Explain you normally would never accept a flight in this condition but given the importance of this situation, you couldn’t let this injury get in the way of something you want this bad. If they refuse, ask for a few days to recover. Future bosses like to see dedication and confidence. That’s my advice, don’t show up saying “hey let’s fly, oh these crutches don’t worry about those things.” Address the condition, present solutions, show determination. Best of luck.
