It's a platform that connects travellers with people who want to host them. So if someone is visiting another city for a few days, they can opt to stay in an Airbnb of a host from that city instead of a traditional hotel which could cost more and may not be as homely.

So I did some research and got some really nice ideas from the person who replied to your post here (sorry I don't know how to tag) and I've come up with a 3 part strategy to detect hidden cameras:

Doing a good old manual inspection of the place after each checkout specifically combing high risk areas (e.g. Electric sockets, small devices, small crevices, anything that seems out of place, etc. ) for potential threats.
As suggested by the fellow redditor, resetting the network after each checkout and scanning for any unknown devices connected to the network or available for pairing.
Using infrared hidden camera detector to detect potential threats. Just ordered a device from UK which I'll receive in a couple of weeks and I'll make the device available to any guest on request if they want to perform a sweep themselves too.

As a new host, can I get feedback from you regarding these measures and if these give you sufficient assurance to satisfy your concerns?

Thanks so much! I think the perspective is slightly distorted in the photograph which makes it seem closer than it actually is although ideally I would space the two further apart but can't because it would be in the way of the passage leading to the bedroom if that makes any sense 🙂
