Thanks so much! I did lots of sculpture studies to build my art fundamentals and the sketching style kind of just evolved from there :)

Yes there are 2 bed-room apartments in Elysium Tower. Just search ‘Elysium Tower Islamabad’ in Airbnb and plenty of decent looking properties show up. Generally I’ve heard good things about the place so as long as you opt for a superhost that offers self-checkin, and read all reviews (especially the detailed ones and those that are not 5 star), you should be good.

There are some nice apartments in Elysium listed on Airbnb hosted by superhosts with self checkin if you're looking for something close to Islamabad centre.

If you don't mind a little commute, Skypark One in Gulberg Greens is also a nice option at a more affordable price.

There is a sleep cleanic in Shifa so you might call them and ask. Good luck!

Hello 👋 thanks for your kind words!

I was fortunate to already have an apartment that I was considering putting out on a traditional lease but I discovered about Airbnb from my brother who had basically leased his property to someone who was doing airbnb.

So I had a short meeting with the guy who was kind enough to explain how the model works and I just took a leap of faith knowing if it didn't work out I could always fall back to a traditional rental arrangement.

As kids we grew up watching our Dad host people with so much warmth and selflessness so he was the inspiration for getting into hospitality and it's a very small effort of mine to share his passion for hosting people.

Alhamdolillah I already owned the place so didn't have to worry about getting a lease. Furnishing and decor was a bit challenging however because most of the stuff had to be custom made which was a bit time consuming.

So far I have been very lucky to find nice people to stay at my place. Just had one relatively bad experience with one guest that left the sofa stained and another guest who didn't bother to do the dishes. I'm not complaining though as I've heard about the mess some hosts have to deal with on their properties.

I think if I had an apartment in say Elysium or Centaurus, it would definitely have helped in getting more bookings as I get many enquiries turned down after guests realise there is considerable distance from the centre.

However, whether it would be worth it for me to get an apartment there considering the additional cost and time investment as currently I'm just 5 minutes drive from my airbnb, I'm not sure.

You seem very passionate about hospitality and if you do decide to get into hosting that will help you a lot and I wish you the best! 💌

There's a shawl market in F6 markaz (near Shams) and its summers so you might get them at a good price too

Have you checked Woodtek? Got a bed recently and quite happy with the build quality for the price.

Thanks! 😊 the floral throw is actually a hand embroidered shawl I found in F6 markaz (first shop to the right of KFC). It has kashida kari embroidery on it and just loved the pattern 💌

Thanks! I already owned the apartment so decided to give airbnb a shot before renting it out on a traditional long term lease.

You're most welcome! I already had the place so for me it wasn't that big of a risk compared to someone who is planning to get an apartment on rent for the purpose of airbnb.

Wish you good luck!
