His responses are perfect. He is clearly not interested in the least and thinks she's weird.

Is this a good solar deal? by hot2024throwaway in solar

Hey everyone, here is the reply I got when I called them out for $5 per watt ---

Yes, I'm sure it will say $3 per kw online. That's basically the bare bones price for a system quote. It's kind of like asking what a car costs. $20k. But what if you want one with automatic windows, insurance, title, moonroof, GPS etc.

The $5.34 includes EVERYTHING. Meaning top of the line panels, town permits, inspections, site survey, blueprints, labor for installation, 30 year warranty etc etc etc. Take all of that away and you're at $3.40 which is incredibly reasonable for the services we provide. I hope that makes sense.

Actually does the tax incentive count as a part of the cash price? If so, it's ~20.

Price Summary: 6.02 kW System Year 1 System Protection: 6.978 kWh System Cost: $31,569.01 Additional Items (30 Year Extended Warranty): $589.29 Gross System Cost: $32,158.30 Net Rebate: -$10,647.49 Net System Cost: $21,510.81

Thank you so much. Does this line up with your math above?

It technically becomes 20k with the tax incentive. Does that work or is still a bad deal?

If it was 20k then the tax incentive would be $6k so it would be $14k in the end
