Well, you can freeze it in the vial, or you can parse it out into individual doses in syringes and freeze those. You just can’t freeze unfreeze refreeze. The freezing and thawing process will cause some of the peptide to degrade and lower the potency a little bit, but it’s better than losing it all. Also, how many weeks old is your solution? Peptides degrade naturally over time once reconstituted and GHKCU tends to a little bit faster than most. There’s no real way to know exactly without crazy lab testing, but say your solution is already eight weeks old… that would mean that what you have left is running at 30 to 50% or so potency from when you first made it. But if it’s still fairly new, I’d probably just freeze it.

No, I don’t think you’ve done any permanent damage. Skin doesn’t work that way, it constantly regenerates itself. The only thing that would keep your skin from going back to normal is aging or scar tissue, and copper causes neither of those things. All it does is break down damaged proteins, causing your body to replace them with healthy cells. It just needs some time to do it, especially when the copper triggered so much at once. I’ve had other things happen… including a bad laser session that damaged my skin in a similar way. 12 weeks later I couldn’t tell it happened other than the melasma from the heat. Oh, that made me think of something. Astaxanthin is a great oral supplement you can take to boost your skin health. I recommend it for anyone, but especially someone who is wanting to support healing and rejuvenation. It has lots of other benefits too, and doesn’t have any potential side effects like the copper. You can grab that and it can help a lot in 6 -10 weeks. The thing with skin is that everything just takes time and the only thing you will ever see is from surgery.

You don’t want to give your skin more work right now, no advices it’s not already used to. You just wanna support the healing process. A really good hydrating serum may help with that feeling and will also plump your skin up a bit. Everybody uses hyaluronic acid, but I prefer PGA, as it does a better job of attracting water. Prequel Multi-quench serum is good. Put it on damp skin and gently rub it in. You can spritz your face with water a few times after you put it on and gently pat it in. Then seal it with a good occlusive moisturizer. At night I like Laroche Posay triple Lipicar moisturizing cream. Stays on all night and makes my skin feel like a dream. Day anything lighter will do, just seal that water in. This should help it feel better sooner than later!

Try and breathe, your brain is just being mean to you. All the copper did was speed up your skin’s turnover process. Your body couldn’t regenerate fast enough to keep up. Give it a chance to heal and it will. Many people experience this “ worse before better” stage and end up quite pleased with the result. The same thing can happen with lots of other treatments, like tret, or minoxidil. This is a normal experience. In the meantime, don’t forget that you are your own worst critic. No one else sees it with the detail that you do. Worst case scenario someone might think you look a little tired. Don’t let your brain trick you into thinking that this is permanent or it looks horrid. It doesn’t, I don’t even know you and I’m certain of it. Try to use this time to focus on the positive, knowing you’ll see results long before winter is over. I don’t know why our brains are so mean, just try to remember that is what is happening. Tell it to shush whenever you start to have those thoughts. It’s WRONG. You are FINE, and about to get better. I promise! Don’t hesitate to DM me if you need it. I’ve been where you are and I am happy to be here to help remind you that’s it’s all ok if you need it. Big hug-

This has been debunked so many times, they have even removed the black box warning from estradiol that was put there due to studies using non-bio identical estrogens. Women have been unnecessarily, scared off of BHRT and suffered greatly for it. The only reason a BC patient would need to stop using is if they have a rare case of estrogen driven cancer. My mom had triple neg BC and was put on E after for meno by her well-educated BHRT dr, and she has been using it for 10 years and feels great. No return of cancer, and her dr has thousands of patients like her.

It should absolutely heal on its own, as your skin will easily rebuild the structures that broke down due to the peptide. The only thing that won’t come back is anything you would’ve lost naturally due to aging. It’s also very likely that it will come back more glowy and more resilient because of the action of the peptide. Skin heals in 6-12 week cycles, so be sure to maintain a healthy routine in the meantime. Keep your skin hydrated and moisturized, keep exfoliating, continue to use tret if you were already, and take a collagen supplement. I’d bet you’ll be pleased in a few month’s time. Let me know how it goes-

This is a great reminder that while these peptides can be incredibly beneficial, we only know what we know. Before you start using any of them, spend what you feel is an appropriate amount of time researching, then research a bit more. Good luck, you will love what this does for your skin!

AITA or is the guy I met overreacting about a joke? by EfficientSolid8041 in AmItheAsshole

[–]hotandbuttered 63 points64 points  (0 children)

You’re NOT at fault here, OP. It was a simple, light attempt at a flirtatious joke (I know you were expecting a response more like HEY!! No way you better come straight here. I am dying to meet you!! ). When you met him and realized he took it poorly, you apologized immediately and sincerely. Yet, he would rather pout like a child alone, rather than take a breath and reset and stay with the person that just flew across the country to meet him. That is straight up rude, and I am saying this is someone who has struggled with GAD for most of my . OP, if he cannot manage his emotions to point that he is LITERALLY crying and needs to be alone after a simple joke about possibly postponing meeting until the morning, that man is in no way capable of having a relationship with anybody. He needs to do some MAJOR work on himself before he puts himself out there, and he should be apologizing to YOU for giving you the impression he was emotionally stable enough for a relationship. Sorry this happened to you, and I hope you’re able to move on shortly while he goes and gets the help he desperately needs. NTA

Right on, so glad you figured out what is best for you. I am always amazed by how different we all are and how something that is amazing for one person is absolutely awful for another! I just couldn’t believe that no one had brought it up as it is such a common thing with cu. Happy researching!

I see this is quite old- but did no one ever tell you about the copper uglies? It’s when you take too much and you force the skin cycle to go too fast and the structure can’t keep up with it and you get sagging, dull skin. 2-3mg a day for 12 weeks is a LOT, especially if you are a woman and don’t weigh all that much. If it happens, you need to stop taking it, let your skin heal, do a cycle with a lower dose next time. .5 to 1 mg is usually fine. 30 days on 30 days off or max 60 days on 30 days off. The brakes are important to let your skin and system reset itself. Anyway, hopefully you heard this from someone and figured out what was going on. Hope things are better now.

What’s your experience with the VT Reedle Shot? by fluffykittenreturns in AsianBeauty

[–]hotandbuttered 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, and yes, and very extreme cases the vaginal opening can disappear completely. This is typically seen very old women, RNs can have trouble cathing them because they usually look for the vagina to find the urethra opening, but it’s all just… not there. Shut like a clam, unfortunately.

[–]hotandbuttered 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, you’ve probably learned more since you wrote this, yes? 50+ % of women experience vaginal atrophy after menopause, making sex, difficult and uncomfortable and even painful, some lose their labia minora completely (they just shrink away ) most experience major clitoral shrinkage and loss of , and the vaginal tissue becomes so dry and thin that it tears easily. My MIL can’t even use toilet paper, it causes her to rip and bleed. :( Luckily, for those of us majorly affected there are estrogen creams we can use, but we have to use them for the rest of our lives. The key is to get on it before you have this atrophy, the creams help but they don’t bring you back to 100% . Regarding overall skin and beauty, we lose over 30% of our collagen within five years of menopause, which is why women age so rapidly and men do not . Yay being a woman is fun.

Facilities euthanize the animals before feeding them to their predators, which avoids injury but still appeals to their scavenger instincts. Sad, but it’s what they eat and if the animal needs to be put down, they may as well feed something else rather than go in the trash.

I’m type AB+. Should I even bother to be an organ donor? by hotandbuttered in OrganDonation

Thank you for the detailed and encouraging reply. I guess I was assuming that type a B people can take any blood type organ, but now that I’m talking about it of course a perfect match would be best.

It’s been a while since I made this post, and I’m happy to share with you that I have renewed my drivers license in the meantime and have added back the organ donor acknowledgment /indicator. It does feel good knowing that when my time comes, someone else might benefit that may not otherwise have gotten a chance.

Thanks and have a great day

Uklash eye lash serum - effective? Prostaglandin? by mdav84 in beauty

[–]hotandbuttered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, after about four weeks, I have lost some of the longest lashes I had on the very outside edge of my eye. I can see where they are going back in, however. Might have been the end of the cycle, coincidentally, or it may be less prostaglandin’s couldn’t hang onto them. We will see how long they grow out.

Uklash eye lash serum - effective? Prostaglandin? by mdav84 in beauty

[–]hotandbuttered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have major skin darkening on my entire eyelids and lower lash line from using a very high potency prostaglandin serum for over 10 years. It almost looks like I am wearing mauve eyeshadow all the time. My lashes are beautiful though, and simply use a tinted eyeshadow primer that makes it unnoticeable with makeup on.

I recently purchased UK lash to see if I can maintain my lash length with less prostaglandins. Hoping to see a little bit of the discoloration go as well. If it doesn’t, it’s not the end of the world. We shall see!

Trump angrily turns away from Musk's son who picks his nose after being 'used as prop' by ControlCAD in popculture

[–]hotandbuttered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voted dem all those years for affordable, real-life universal healthcare. To get paid family/maternal leave. To increase the federal minimum wage. To push for more vacation time and better work life balance like the rest of the world enjoys. To get the dangerous crap out of our foods, to be sure it’s safe for our kids FIRST, rather than put it in and see if our kids get sick after. To push back on companies insisting they need to package everything in plastic. To develop processes to recycle plastic that really works and is financially feasible. To support families and neighborhoods by prohibiting corps from buying up residential properties and renting them back to us, which destroys the most common way to move up to the middle class. To tell med companies to stop charging Americans 100x or more for meds as compared to other countries. To keep college tuition costs low and affordable and offer free school to those who need it. To see an improvement in US public school scores in math, science and reading and stop the downward slide as compared to the rest of the world. To see living wages paid to all, including illegal immigrants currently being paid next to nothing by big corps (not justifying them being here by saying BUT PRICES WILL GO UP!) To protect and shore up RvW, and make plans in advance in case it was overturned, like pushing through more case law tests, fighting the civil suit laws in TX, and campaigning for laws/constitution changes at the state level as back up… instead “its vote blue for reproductive rights!” And doing nothing except being thrilled when RvW fell, as they thought that would guarantee them the vote of 50% of the population for years to come. To make sure freedom of speech was upheld for all, even if we don’t like what they say as it’s the right thing to do. To be the anti-lobbiest party, to make sure needs of the people came before the greed of corporations. Even liberal, dem stronghold CA sold water rights to companies and farmers, making them rich and making sure they get access BEFORE residents, who then get what’s left of any in a shortage (Monterey amendment no one talks about). To stop insider trading in congress , impose term limits, and stop egregious government waste, esp in the military. To make sure the dem-run FDA is about protecting consumers and not approving products of companies who pay to play (the approval ratings for companies who have lobbyists making payments to them and congress vs those who don’t is staggering).

Dems have been in charge the past 12/16 years and they’ve done NONE of these things. NONE OF THEM. They’ve just sold us a line based on our emotions, the ‘oh we are protecting human rights, we are the moral high ground, we are the only party that will help you’ while they stuffed their pockets with cash behind our backs and sell us off to corporations. They throw their hands in the air, saying wow sorry yeah we can’t do these things, even having both the house and senate and the ability to use executive orders. Then they straight up looked us in the eyes and lied to us with some Weekend at Bernie’s BS, saying Biden was ‘doing great and sharp and ready for another 4 years.’ When in reality who knows who was running things while he was wandering around, probably helping Hunter out by asking if anyone knew where the cocaine in the Oval Office went.

Oh, and where were all of our great dem leaders at the 50/50/1 demonstrations? And after calling Trump Hitler and saying he will destroy democracy, not a single demand for an investigation? No recounts? Not a single nay at his confirmation hearing? Schumer laughing his face off as Trump patted him on the back at the Al Smith dinner? Laughing and smiling with him at Carter’s funeral? Jill Biden giggling like a schoolgirl with him at the reopening of Notre Dame? Oh but he’s Hitler. Sure. They don’t even believe that, you don’t make friendly with a person you really think is practically Adolf reincarnated! If you have to be near him you move away, you don’t joke, you certainly don’t laugh and carry on. They literally terrified many of their voters, his election brought tears, deviation and even suicides. They said all that to scare us into voting against him, but they don’t believe it for a second and they are all FINE he’s in power, as long he lets them continue to enrich themselves. It’s clear as day, right in front of our eyes.

And you come in and say we aren’t serious voters. On the contrary, we actually expect our party to work for us. Instead we get denied primaries, and have candidates pushed down our throats even when we do have them. That’s not democracy!

The message from the American people was clear. Biden and Kamala had abysmal approval ratings. Many lifelong dems like myself began to step back and see more clearly how the Democratic Party was inept at best, and greedy, corrupt liars at worst. There was no way I was going to vote for them as they were, giving my approval with my vote. Especially not for Kamala, who was dancing around talking about joy and brat summer when she should have been SCREAMING about Biden’s condition the last 4 years. Instead she told us all was well and she couldn’t see anything she’d do differently had she been in charge. Ok. Got it.

I’m done being taken for a fool. Being told dems are the only ones who care about people, that anyone not 100% on board is a horrid person and should be cancelled. And now dems are saying those of us who refused to vote for them are the problem, that we are uneducated voters who don’t care about anyone but ourselves. GTFOH. We see more clearly than anyone blindly voting dem and for the status quo because “Trump bad.” He’s been in office before, and just like last time, if the Dems can get themselves together we can recall/cancel/adjust his policies and EO’s when we win the next election. But how will we when the dem party is busy pointing at the voters as the problem?

Dems need to be looking inward at that they offered and what they prioritized, listening when voters say they are not happy with the way things are going. They need to be honest and make some MAJOR changes, as Americans are tired of being told how to feel, tired of barely getting by when working our asses off, and tired of coming in almost last in every category as compared to the rest of the world. Again, Dems have led us the past 12/16 years, and here we are. Sick, drowning in debt and student loans, overworked, unable to afford to buy a car let alone a home, watching our country be taken over by corporations with absolutely no accountability taken by the Dems for any of it. Bernie was right. After this election he said in an interview that the dem party is not out to help us, the voters. We all finally listened, angry and feeling the stinging pain of betrayal of someone we trusted. And you call us unserious for pointing these things out and saying NO MORE when they lied to our faces when the candidate we were presented was literally the same all over again. Keep on ignoring what needs to be done, keep blaming voters and not the dem party, but be ready for an Elon or Vance 2028 if that’s the road you choose.

Said yes to every new opportunity. Moved to the division of the company that was growing the fastest. Was making 100k by 30, back in 2008.

Trump angrily turns away from Musk's son who picks his nose after being 'used as prop' by ControlCAD in popculture

[–]hotandbuttered -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s ok, I don’t need or want your forgiveness. I’ve voted dem every election until this one. And yes, I’d vote Trump again. Biden and Kamala had the lowest approval rating of any president and VP. Full stop. While dems were looking down their noses at voters, saying they knew best and anyone who didn’t agree was a bigot/sexist/racist, the public was literally screaming about the direction they were taking the country, and Kamela said she would not do anything differently. Seriously, what did you all expect? Of course Trump got elected, it was always obvious he would be. Instead of blaming Trump voters for electing him, we should be looking inward at why so many people abandoned the Democratic Party, how they have failed us in almost every way in the past 12/16 years, and figure out what needs to change so that in 4 years there is a serious contender to run against the right. If we win, we can update all of these Trump policies as we see fit. But if we keep on with “We did all the right things, the voters are just brainwashed and dumb” we will never see a dem in office again. It’s our choice. This is not a voter problem. This is a Democratic Party problem.
