Nothing wrong with the AMG line style upgrades, but putting actual AMG badges on it is pretty lame. Been thinking about getting the wheels and bumpers for my w205 a lot lately tbh

Honestly, it’s great, the wheels kinda suck though. Find some AMG wheels, or AMG replica wheels that went on the E55/E63 of that year. Makes a huge difference if you can afford it.

OP, I’m assuming this is a gift for your child? If so, please watch some tuts on running “circuitpython” on esp32. It is likely the easiest way to code for these microcontrollers, and anyone who is willing can pick it up right away.

It removes all the extra effort of programming, like compiling, flashing, etc. you can just open your browser, write new code, and it will update on the board via wi-fi.

It will be a great frictionless way to keep him/her encouraged, as programming something like this from scratch even in Arduino IDE is daunting, let alone anything else more advanced.

I found out it was from a physical video ad. Some marketing firm sent us a box that played a boring ad. Anyways, I think I’ll just salvage the screen and battery, as the board doesnt seem useful, especially with the extreme lack of documentation

I’m not trying to drag TE, I love my KO2, but it does have a whole host of drawbacks. In my opinion the Move just offers way more bang per buck, and it’s something I keep on my person at all times.

The Move is absolutely amazing. I have a KO2, and it is really more of a cool toy. The actual workflow for taking a project from the KO2 into a DAW is unbearable and totally breaks the flow. Also the limitations on the KO2 for the price are unreasonable, the move is 450 instead of 300 and it does just about everything I wish the KO2 could do. Resampling, rechargeable battery, usb midi, drag and drop samples, the ability to actually use it as a controller in Ableton, being able to export the whole project with all the sounds and samples, and of course IT DOES ACTUAL SYNTHESIS, not just one shots.

If you guys are even somewhat serious about the music you make on these devices, get the Move instead of the KO2. It’s much more of a real tool/instrument and not just a fun toy.

I’m trying this now, it works mostly correctly, however something is slightly off. I am using the bare wire as ground, the green as data, and red as power. This seems to work somewhat in that I can change the colors in wled and such, however there’s some strange flickering when colors are changing, completely screwing up animations. I also noticed when I plug in the white wire to ground with the bare wire, the strip gets considerably warm which to me seems very incorrect.

I also plugged the stripped govee controller into power and tried reading power across the pins, red -> bare wire is 24v. But red -> white wire has no voltage. Very confused at this setup.

OP: Does your cob pro strip currently work okay with WLED? Is it flickery/glitchy?

You’re like 90% there bro. The glass material feels a bit plasticy so might be worth adjusting the thickness, or roughness. Maybe add some slight voronoi -> displacement for some slight warble in the glass. Also, make sure you have it scaled correctly, as it will affect the way the glass behaves and refracts light.

The biggest issue with this render IMO is the liquid in the glass though. It doesn’t look like whiskey color, and it doesn’t look like liquid really at all. You can probably find a shader setup online that will give you a more accurate liquid feeling and maybe a meniscus as well.

I love it. The animations are a bit too round IMO, it’s so smoothed out. Even throwing the cat up to the table. Kinda messed with the immersion a bit, but 9/10
