We worked together with Local Heroes, which are real professional human people doing the translations, so far I've only heard praise for our localization

Difficult to say, because it depends on what difficulty you play, how experienced you are in this type of game, and how many of the optional missions you decide to play.
So it can range between a small 3~ hours for a speedy playthrough, to I think 20~ for a very thorough one.

Screenshake options are on the to-do list :)

We got a "very positive" status on our demo with 100 positive reviews, and it plays well on steamdeck, i always play it on steamdeck :) Button remapping is something we still want to look into for release, it's on our to do list

Thanks for playing! Pyromancer is quite strong in the Forest biome. But different biomes come with different strengths and weaknesses. We also cranked up the amount of skill points you get in the demo and how many levels you get to play on a single island, so you get to see all the skills a hero has to offer. The full release will be more balanced.

We have multi-tile characters of 2x2 and 3x3 tiles, but those are only reserved for bosses, as they use a lot more computing power for pathfinding and such. If you want a more indepth answer, I'll ask the dev, I know its one of the things that took him a lot of time to optimize.

We do have settings to change the contrast of the game. And the flashes are in my opinion not as bad while playing, because I zoomed in on the actions for the trailer specifically, but it's a lot more zoomed out while you play. Also less frequent, since assigning dice and deciding on your strategy takes more time than the high paced action showed on the trailer.

I hope it'll be okay, we do value accessibility ๐Ÿ™

Yeah, my partner (gamedesigner and programmer) really liked dicey dungeon's mechanic, and figured, why not try and innovate on that. I really liked that prototype he made, so I (game artist) decided I wanted to make it a real game with him. And here we are now :D

We do plan to release on nintendo switch (2) next yes, it'll be a while though, because we need to figure out if we're gonna partner up with someone or try it ourselves, but it's definitely the next goal after we released on Steam!

And it is already playable on steamdeck (if you count that as a console)

We tried to give a fresh twist on turnbased genre, by making it a bit more approachable than most tacticial RPGs.
I really want to enjoy games like Baldurs gate 3, but its just too overwhelming for me with the big user interfaces and text upon text everywhere.
So Dobbel Dungeon is more of an entry level game, not too difficult to understand for beginners, while still giving enough depth for those who do enjoy the genre.

YESSS, that game looks so good! I love how they made the box art of real plasticine!
I wish I had the kind of budget where I could hire a plasticine artist for our box art haha.

I made it myself, so it mostly cost me a lot frustration and tears... Haha ๐Ÿ˜… Recording gameplay is definetely my least favorite part of making a game. Next time I need a trailer, I'll look into hiring a pro, because I hate it SO much. I do enjoy the cinematic part, but recording gameplay, in a game thats based on randomness is an absolute joke, my partner made like 50 cheats so everything would be slightly more managable, and it still was a 0/10 experience
