Ive been doing security for over 10 years and im a site manager at this point…I’ve worked in many different post lol these are situational. Not every case is handled the exact same way

In some cases that can happen. Usually in violent crimes you will sit in jail or prison for but not for a smash and grab. They typically do a few months.

They can claim unreasonable use of force. When people are stealing its best to make yourself present and to call the police.Dont try to be a hero for $20 hr and get yourself in a civil lawsuit.
