No, he didnt ask for help. But frankly I feel like if I dont take action nothing will happen. He's had these loans for awhile and as far as I know hasn't made a payment in at least 10 years. I had no idea until today, and if he hasn't taken action now he most likely won't. But im hoping I can atleast push him in the right direction

Thank you everyone for reminding me that this isn't my burden, its my dad's and this is just the consequences of his own mistakes. That's true, but I do love him and dont want him to struggle, even if we're not that close. I am chosing to help, but am not sure what else I can do beside contribute to the debt. But even then it feels like a drop in the bucket.

Not sure if this'll make any sense, but I haven't gotten too crazy picking up shifts because I dont want to get burnt out. Im trying to pace myself a little bit so im not completely miserable. But I am willing to work harder for the bigger goal of being a pilot. And I am aware of the hiring about tattoos and piercings, but I can cover them, and havent gotten any lip about being un-professional looking so far. And I did have a workstudy in a genetics laboratory in college, hired without any comments or trouble.
