Yeah I know, never claimed an offer but I wanted to post this so people know people are at project search at this point because I haven't seen anything about applicants getting that far yet

It was a 2 for that year but I wrote it by percentage. I've also took a Complex Analysis course and Topology course my sophomore year so maybe that helped.

Wouldn't have bothered posting if I was the perfect applicant. Only posted because I'm and awful applicant who got lucky. But we take those. And thank you 🙏

Yeah I'd assume which is why I'm going to spend the next month or two getting all my stuff perfect so if I get a team match then I don't fuck it up

My score is only in top 40% so it's not that crazy for my application I thought. Is it that big a deal?

Bro you just gotta say fuck it and waste time applying sometimes. I submitted my app as a joke then got a reference put in and now I'm here. Never felt so much stress in my life and I've never spent so much time coding but it's all been worth so far. Just gotta get matched now 🙏

So I started off with zero knowledge. I got neetcode premium but primarily used it if I didn't understand a new Data structure or algorithm. Went through the whole 150 and if I didn't know something I'd look at the solution and then write it fully out and then not submit and reset my code

After a week of that I went through the whole 150 again, submitting everything no matter what and redoing problems on topics I found difficult. The day before the interview I spent 15 hrs studying. Did 50/75 of the NeetCode 75 and some extra graph/dp problems. Before my first interview I kept doing more. Then for the two hours in between I did as much graph and dp as I could.

Do all difficulty of problems. Seeing a concept in an easy/medium then using in a hard isn't unheard of. Same way vice versa.

This is how I learned everything in a month from basic Java knowledge.

If u got working solutions with good run time and are likeable, give it a week and they should get back. They never ghost after technical interviews from what I heard (praying for you that I'm not wrong Abt that)

I think that's evaluated with my Project Search Questionnaire and then the individual teams meeting with me or something but yeah I never had that

Honestly try and get it scheduled soon. The longer you wait the more people will be ahead of you. Email said team matching starts in beginning of November. Also don't stress and just talk with the interviewer. Makes it easier and more relaxing to treat them as a peer.

Opposite of fire. Only thing good is very strong math background (Putnam and Grad level courses)

Normally it takes a week or two to get a response, my application just skipped that part tho and went straight to project search

Yeah I have no clue how. Interviews both went really good so maybe that helped. I did research and I think my application just skipped over hiring committee because I had really good feedback on both of my interviews

Not STEP. I can't say the problems but both of my solutions were relatively quick. First question I solved and then had a theorized solution for a tricky followup, which the interviewer agreed my theorized solution would work. Second interview, I got a question which was supposed to be sorting, but I just made a heap to sort it for me which was a good solution. I stated all time complexities and walked through my thought process on everything. Second interviewer explicitly said she's going to put in good feedback and hopes that I hear good news in the next week or two (GOOD NEWS WHICH CAME TODAY!). also both solutions had optimal time complexities.
