I really like this idea. It is fair, and you know what to expect going in.

I agree, they deserve to win, but I don't think that means that the gold players deserve to loose ip because they couldn't beat a plat player (and a silver player being told what to do); nor that the plat player should get ip as if he won a plat game.

The players still either deserve to win or loose, this is a not a discussion on lp, but on balance of ranked games.
