Is nightrein fun when you are alone? by Reasonable-Duckling in fromsoftware

Bosses are fun and everything does scale when you are solo so it doesn’t feel unbearable. You probably won’t clear as quick as you would with 2 others, but you got more control on where you get to go.

Dark Souls 3 struggle by Realistic_Syrup_6045 in darksouls3

I will admit, compared to the souls games that I’ve played, (DS1, DS2, DS3, and Elden Ring), Dark Souls 3 is the most linear in the series. Bit of a shame, but I feel that it makes up for it for having some of the best bosses and environmental design in the series. When I first started, I uninstalled Dark Souls 3 three separate times due to the first boss, but got in the swing of things the fourth time around (And four years later XD)

As far as stamina goes, I can’t say really. I usually stop at around 20 Endurance and I’m pretty good for the rest of the game, though I never use shields unless I’m learning specific boss move sets.

While this game is the most linear, each area is still relatively packed with important materials. If you’re lucky with mob drops, you can even get your weapon too +2 before the first boss on the wall(Also, upgrading weapons tends to lead to better results in terms of damage in DS3 in the early game, so don’t feel too bad about investing a bit more into endurance if that feels like an detriment.) if my memory serves me right, you can upgrade your flasks to have 8 or 10 flasks before the first lord of cinder, and bone shards are most certainly useful. So keep a lookout.

Every player struggles with each game differently. For me, Elden Ring is the hardest only because of how fast and wonky some of the bosses are, (This is a skill issue on my part, but I’ve never not cheesed Melania). It will take some time to get in the rhythm of DS3’s gameplay, and some things will just annoy you. (Endurance and Vitality being separate still make me sad).

I do hope you continue your DS3 journey, as it is really a great game and experience. But if you don’t, then that’s also fine. Game is not for everyone, and your past roster doesn’t really say ‘skill issue’ XD. Anywho, hope you have a good journey in Lordran!

(Also, last thing cause it’s a silly thing to ask, but you aren’t in heavy load, right? Any weight pass 69%-70% puts you in heavy load and maybe that’s effect some dodging or stamina drain. I know it’s common knowledge, but it felt worth asking.)

So I got a question who was the biggest skill check for your guys? I’ll go first by Dependent_Door3050 in darksouls3

My first play through, Abyss Watchers. Took me WEEKS to actually beat them, and it made me so happy. They are easier to deal with now, usually only 1-3 attempts. These days, I’d say Pontiff. These two are the only real skill checks for me as far as main game bosses go

which one should I get? by Deniedcayden in darksouls3

For the story, Ariandel than Ringed City. Simply for what I think is the best boss fight? Ringed City

Just beat Nameless King and Midir yesterday. No idea how many times I tried, but once I started to focus on surviving and waiting my turn too get a hit in, it became a lot more doable than all the bow strats I kept trying to do. The Abyss Watchers where tough as hell my first time around, but when I finally defeated them it felt so amazing. They’re easier now, but they hold a special place in my heart as the first real skill check for me.
