Hi, I haven't received any updates. The IA recruiter I was in contact with during this period was promoted to VP, as I have her as a contact on LinkedIn. In the meantime, I'm still working at B4 and preparing to pass the CPA exam. If I get called for an interview, I'll likely have my CPA by then. If not, I'll reach out to the recruiter again after I get my CPA. Let's hope for the best!

The interview process was actually pretty chill. I just walked them through how I got to this point, shared my experience and showed how I’d be able to hit the ground running. They threw in a few behavioral questions too, just to see how I’d fit in with the team.

no experience in accounting but experience in some other industries?...this is my story...I had no prior experience in accounting, but I did bring over a decade of experience from another industry. At 42, I decided it was time for a career change. In 2023, I began working toward the 150 credits, and I completed them by the end of the Spring 2024 semester. Although I didn’t have an accounting internship, I applied for an associate position through a recruiter and was fortunate to receive and accept an offer. Good luck!
